Impressed! Sheer but cloverleaf pattern helps hide my lackluster view but lets in light
The view out my back patio windows is a lackluster suburban backyard that I am limited to improve because of some necessary fencing and accessibility ramp. But I love natural light! So, I thought some sheers would be helpful and these were far more impressive in person than they were in the photo. I actually liked them so much, for a moment I thought about putting them in the bedroom where I would see them even more often. The cloverleaf pattern adds a bit more obstruction to seeing the lackluster suburban back yard, but is not so dense that I feel I have lost too much natural sunlight, not at all! But what’s really missing from the photographs and that I will do my best to describe is that around the edge of the cloverleaf are a few raised threads around the outside line of the pattern which add interest and dimension. The extra thickness of the patterned sections added some dimension, and this thread trim around the edge adds even more, but subtly. So, what you get are sheers that are just a bit more interesting and informal/boho despite having a regular, graphic pattern. It took my impression of them from, “I’ll get these, these will get it done” to, “wow, I really like these. I would have picked them enthusiastically if I had seen them in person.”They are also a perfect white. Neither a cold and blinding white, nor veering into anything yellow.The grommets slide well, and, these being sheers, they fold up quite a bit when pushed to the sides. When I need to use the patio door as a door, I can push the sheer all the way to the side and entirely out of the way, which is important for the person who uses a mobility device. I wish I could have picked grommets to match the curtain rod, but instead I just got a double rod and put valances on the outer rod. I think I will get shorter valances or get the ones I have hemmed. I also wish these sheers were offered in other colors. In the winter I would like a warm, sunny yellow, and I would even consider a bright Christmas Red and some festive holiday valances.I am very happy with these after being so certain I was going to be indifferent! For a pair that cover my 70” patio doors these are priced just right.
