Plenty of room for pirate gold!
Solid wooden chest great for light to medium duty treasure hunts. The detailed metal work and antique-style lock give it a historical flair. Plenty of room in the large size chest for gold, treasures and the like. The exterior was too nice to risk damaging by burying it in the dirt, but with the Dark Antique finish it was easy to hide on a rocky island at the end of a vacation treasure hunt.

Great quality and great value chest
I love almost everything about this chest. It looks fantastic, and I can hardly believe it was so inexpensive given the quality.My only concern with it is that when the lid is open and the chest is empty, it falls over backwards. Just looking at the pictures, I doubt this is an issue with the larger sizes. For most this likely won’t be much of an issue, but I intend to use this as a prop in a pirate-themed improv show, and I’ll need to open the chest when it only contains paper (suggestions from the audience). To get around this issue. I bought some prop doubloons to weigh down the base, and I’ll just put the slips of paper on top. Should work just fine and look great, but I did have to unexpectedly spend an extra $15 to make this chest work for my application.
