The first thing I noticed about this once I unpacked it is that the “wood” feels a lot more like plastic than wood, but I love the design and the size is just nearly perfect for the area by my door.The wall this is against is ~29″ and I wanted to find something that would fit there that has a seat, can store a good number of shoes, and fits the MCM theme I’m trying to use.I saw this same design under a few different brand names on a few different sites advertising as 29.6″ instead of the 31″ that’s advertised on Amazon. I decided to buy on Amazon because I trust I can return it easily here and I don’t know the other sites as well.The one I got here has a total width of 31″ that’s from the drawer side so the way to the furthest part of the rack. From end to end ignoring the rack is about 29.6″.The bench feels very study of you sit in the middle. I sat to one side and thought I heard a creak so I wouldn’t want to test it, but I’m sure it can handle it.The cushion isn’t as soft as I expected but it’s still nice enough to sit on for a minute to put on your shoes. The rack is wide enough to hold a regular sized umbrella and could probably hold a few books if you wanted. I’m not going to use the drawer as I would rather not have the rack against the wall, but it is relatively smooth to open and close and has more space than I expected. I’m keeping the manual and spare parts in there.Building this was very easy and straight forward. When installing the bottom shelf, which is the first step, I recommend using the cushion to prop up the shelf if you’re working alone. It’s the perfect height.I do wish it was slightly shorter or that the rack on the side was optional so it might fit better in my small space, but I like the design and functionally enough that I can get over the bit of overhang.Even though the materials feel cheap, this is a great looking shoe rack and has great function with lots of storage for shoes and other items while fitting in a small space

Very well made bench
I got this for my front hallway because the side of the closet is exactly the width of this unit. It was easy to put together and well-made. I bought little canvas drawers for my daughters shoes and winter gear. She is one and loves taking the drawers in and out and throwing the shoes everywhere. I am a large lady and it supports my weight really well. I would definitely recommend this.

Hidden drawer broken
This bench is very cute, and it was easy to assemble! Assembly didn’t take a long time, and although the directions are simple, there were a few issues – some parts of the instructions were not detailed enough, so it’s easy to screw pieces in upside down or on the wrong sides. but it’s an easy fix. the tools needed for the job are included and don’t require a lot of strength which is nice. however there are a few issues i ran into with the product before and during assembly.1. the drawer came broken. unfortunately, the small drawer that slides under the bench came with split wood, and the entire unit itself fell apart the moment it came out the box. Although the drawer is not a huge part of the bench and doesn’t necessarily affect the topic itself, it was one of the reasons why I purchased this specific bench. Either way, it doesn’t ruin the bench itself so it’s fine.2. the paint is thin. the paint on the wood came chipped in a few places, and only barely rubbing against another piece caused more paint to chip and scrape off. the wood itself is thin and lightweight, but the paint on the wood is incredibly sensitive so assembly required a lot of delicate movements to avoid causing more damage to the paint. I can already see the paint rubbing off on the actual shoe rack and I’ve only had it for 2 days.However, I still love this bench. As lightweight as it is, it is surprisingly sturdy. I love the color and aesthetic. There is also a rack on the side for slippers, magazines, or gloves and hates. the drawer would have been used for my gloves and extra socks, but meh. overall, it can fit about 6-8 shoes, a pair of boots or bulky/high platforms and one pair of slippers on the side rack. both people in the home are about 200 pounds, and we both were able to comfortably sit on it to put on shoes. it should only be used for the amount of time it takes to put on and remove shoes a day. I wouldn’t use this for casual sitting all day which you would think is common sense, but you never know who reads these reviews.Overall, i recommend this bench. the paint is thin, but it’s still a nice color, easy 1-person assembly with super clear ish instructions, and it looks nice!

Good buy simple but elegant
absolutely beautiful, ordered for my grandparents, They fell in love my grams keeps her favorite magazine on the side and aren’t tripping on the shoes at night!! love it buy! loved that it also comes in two length’s great quality. not too heavy and holds their houseshoes as well (we got the smaller one)

Don’t order!!!
I do not recommend this item I ordered it and while myself and my boyfriend tried to put it together one of the holes didn’t line up and we couldn’t finish putting the bench together when I tried to take out the screw because it didn’t align to return to Amazon, the whole wooden leg broke. I couldn’t even get it in a box I ended up, just throwing away in the hole bench and took a loss. I will never buy anything from this seller. I don’t recommend it at all. I wish I could give zero stars but unfortunately, I have to do one.

Exactly as pictured, surprisingly solid
I hesitated to order this because Amazon said it was frequently returned but it was the right size and shape, so I did. I don’t know why this would be frequently returned. It’s exactly as pictured and surprisingly solid and sturdy. Assembly was reasonably painless. Maybe just check the dimensions before ordering. It’s a small piece of furniture, meant for a hallway not a living room, but that’s what I wanted.

This shoe rack is exactly what I was looking for. It is nicely made. However, I was not able to use the screws it came with so had to buy some separately. (The grooves in the screw top where the screwdriver fits were not defined enough and were slipping).
