Over Priced Marble Scone light for the price
I recently purchased the 14.17in Alabaster Wall Sconce in Black for my living room, hoping to add a touch of modern elegance. While the sconce has some appealing features, I’m left feeling it’s overpriced for what it offers.The natural marble alabaster gives off a beautiful, soft glow when lit, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that works well in my living room. The sleek black aluminum frame adds a contemporary touch, and the 12W LED provides bright, non-glaring light, which is great for accent lighting. Installation was straightforward, taking about 20 minutes with the included hardware, and the dimmable feature (dimmer not included) is a nice bonus for adjusting the mood.However, the price feels steep for the overall quality. The alabaster is thin—about 0.5 inches—and while it looks nice, it doesn’t feel as premium as expected for the cost. I’ve seen similar sconces with comparable materials at lower price points. The black finish on the frame also showed minor scuffs out of the box, which was disappointing for a supposedly high-end fixture. Additionally, the size (14.17in x 5.1in x 2.64in) is slightly smaller than I envisioned, making it less impactful on my wall than I’d hoped.It’s a decent sconce for specific settings like a hallway or bedroom, but for a living room, it doesn’t quite justify the cost. I’d recommend it if you can find it on sale, but at full price, it feels like you’re paying more for the aesthetic than the substance.
