Ok
Ok for the price. Very low quality fabric, it separates with the mildest wind.

Good quality and functional
Assembly is amazingly easy and has good instructions (a rarity, I’ve found). I was working slowly, by myself, and taking photos and had it up in 30 minutes. The base holds the two included sandbags and has a nice cover to give it a good look. The base is about 26″ square, which is big enough that it gets a bit “in the way”; but that is required to allow sufficient weight to hold down the unit – there is a lot of square footage to catch that breeze!Fabric material looks like polyester and dried quickly from this morning’s dew. We ordered the blue instead of our usual beige or white to get a splash of color. The color is vibrant for now, but our summer sun is likely to fade it. The rib material has a light coating on it and is lightweight, but there are a number of ribs and they seem well connected which should add some mutual support.A couple of things that I think could be improved but for the price it is not a deal breaker: the fabric is kind of thin so I’m not sure how well it will last. It may be that the tradeoff between the large size and easily raising and lowering led to a lighter, thinner material. Overall easy to open and keeps the sun away!

IKEA experience when putting together
Great quality, but definitely an ‘Ike’s’ project when putting together. Good luck 🤣

It’s Massive!!!
I was a bit intimidated when I emptied out the box and so many parts fell out! Luckily, a lot of them are for the base, which we didn’t end up needing.I got this in hopes that it would fit our large outdoor patio set. We had an 8 foot umbrella in it originally, but everyone would still get hit with sun during summer, and I really wanted something larger. I decided if it didn’t fit, then I’d use the base and set it up by our above ground pool.Luckily for me, this not only fit in our table, but our old umbrella base as well! I am so excited, especially since I was not looking forward to building the base, adding sand, and all of that mess.Putting this together was fairly straightforward and simple. I did it alone (short female), to surprise my husband and kids. First you untwist the caps on the top of the umbrella and attach each solar panel (you clip the wire harness into the bottom of each, then twist the panels on). You then snap on the handle mechanism (it’s already partially attached), snap the pole on and set it upright in a base (whether your own or the included). After that, you attach the tips to each spine, and pull the fabric over the tips. I found it easier to attach the fabric and then push the tip into the spine.I’ve purchased several umbrellas in the past decade, and feel like the fabric is pretty on par with your average umbrella. Unfortunately, this is what you get unless you want to spend the real big bucks. The button to switch on the lights is attached to one of the spines, and is really easy to reach and turn on. They’re pretty darn bright too!I do sort of wish I’d gotten the lighter color umbrella, just because of the eventual fading (we get a lot of sun and heat), but it sure looks beautiful! When my husband and kids saw this, they were honestly amazed. We’ve all never seen such a massive umbrella (it covers SO much space and offers a lot of shade). My husband couldn’t believe it, and is highly impressed. We all love it so far, and I’d definitely recommend it, at least without using the base, as I can’t review that portion. It’s budget friendly, in my opinion, at this price ($149), especially since it does come with a base.

Great for the price
This is a fairly inexpensive, simple umbrella with built in lights. They aren’t bright – akin to solar path lights – but add some ambience and make it feel less dark. The construction is ok, but I wouldn’t leave it open or out in the wind – the parts don’t look like they could handle much force or weight. It’s heavier than a regular size umbrella, but not as much as I expected. The two sides seem a little droopy, but it’s not obvious unless you’re looking for it.Better than 2 umbrellas – almost big enough to take the place of three – it comfortably covers our 12′ table and only has one pole holding it up, so it’s a big improvement for our patio.
