Excellent Heavy-Duty Shelving – Super Sturdy and Easy to Set Up!
I bought the Father&I 5-Shelf Industrial Metal Shelving Unit , and it has exceeded all my expectations! Assembly was a breeze – no tools needed, just snap the pieces together with the smart locking system.The steel construction is incredibly robust with reinforced columns, and it feels rock-solid even when fully loaded. I’ve stacked heavy totes, power tools, paint cans, and boxes on it, and there’s no wobbling or bending at all. The adjustable shelves make it easy to customize for different item heights, which is perfect for organizing everything from small parts to tall containers.The matte black finish looks modern and professional, and it’s holding up great in my dusty garage. Fantastic value for such a high-capacity, durable unit – definitely recommend for anyone needing reliable storage in the garage, pantry, shed, or closet!

Box shows 2 different dimensions; the 72″x35″x17″ is correct.Manufacturing process gives some visible warping/crimping of the metal, but doesn’t affect the quality, which is actually pretty good. Metal is thinner than the stated 0.05 inches, with the standing pillars measuring 0.0355″, the cross members measuring 0.0440″, and the shelves a paltry 0.0185″. Wish the shelves were a bit thicker, but with the support bracing it’ll probably be sufficient for my needs, though I question the 500lb limit. The shelves rest just on top of the crossmembers, with nothing to lock them in place – though it may be possible to use some zip-ties to join them together for added stability. Still, everything is quite solid and much better quality than other Chinese-manufactured shelves I’ve picked up.The plastic caps, feet, and joints are cheap, with several not being square with the metal. The included “rubber” mallet is actually a cheap plastic children’s play-thing. Better to use your own mallet. The cloth gloves are serviceable.When constructing the shelves it’s advisable to place one of the shelves in the middle to join both the top and bottom units as there is nothing connecting them otherwise (aside from the aforementioned cheap plastic joints). As a free-standing shelf it seems sturdy enough, though using the included wall anchor fixture would put my mind more at ease.Could there be some improvements? No question. All-in-all though a nice affordable unit that I’m happy with.

Defective item/buyer pays return
This this been a horrible experience. I will never order from them again. I received a defective item. The item swayed, it was completely unsafe. You have to screw it into your wall to stabilize it & even still it was unstable. It’s too unsafe to put large or heavy items on. Given the cost, I could purchase a different one, so I contacted them. Myself, the buyer has to pay shipping to return a defective item, which is almost the cost of the item. There is no option to show photo/video. My messages back and forth with the seller are inappropriate responses-unclear, off topic, & do not answer my question at all. Seller is threatening bankruptcy because I asked to return the item. Needless to say after spending a couple hours putting it together & then a couple more taking it down and numerous phone calls to Amazon with no other option-I have spent so much time wasted on an item I can’t use and don’t have a paid return label or refund on.

Easy to assemble, decent for the price but not heavy duty like you would expect but worth the price, the wood shelves are thin panel wood and probably won’t hold much weight since there’s no middle support bar

Surprisingly Sturdy & So Easy to Assemble — Even Solo!
I bought this storage shelf for my garage, and I put it together completely by myself — mid-twenties female and definitely not very handy. It was super easy to assemble and took me about an hour. I’m sure it would’ve been even faster with two people, but I still got the job done without any issues!I was a little nervous about the sturdiness since some reviews mentioned concerns and the price was on the cheaper side, but it honestly exceeded my expectations. It’s solid, it looks great, and it has totally transformed my garage. I have so much more space to work with now, and it made everything feel instantly more organized.No regrets at all — I absolutely love it! As you can see I got the thing plum full! 😊

I’m really impressed with this shelving unit — solid construction and much sturdier than I expected for the price. Even when loaded with heavy tools and a large tote, it hasn’t budged or bent. The shelves are roomy and adjustable to fit taller items, and assembly was straightforward. For such an affordable piece, it’s well made and excellent value. The precise cuts and perfectly aligned holes show real attention to detail. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Decent depending on how you’re using it
The good, the bad and the ugly.The good:It’s cheap. If you’re putting light stuff on it it’s actually pretty decently sturdy, especially the bottom half and if you can secure it to the wall. Looks nice. Simple to build.The bad. You absolutely 100% must use the bottom shelf connected to the bottom. Even though some of the pictures show it not like that, it’s absolutely unsafe and not sturdy. If you don’t have the bottom shelf on the bottom. You cannot just put things on the floor. You must have that attached at the bottom or it will fall. The connector beams that connect the top half to the bottom half are super flimsy and plastic and they don’t secure. So you can literally just lift the top half off the bottom half. If I decide to keep these I’ll be super gluing them just for added safety.The ugly:If you are not securing this to the wall or not putting a bottom shelf at the bottom, it is absolutely not safe.For lightweight stuff, probably not bad. If you’re putting heavy stuff just on the bottom also probably not bad. If you’re handy with super glue/ duct tape/zip ties, you could probably make it work for more. If that works for what you need, go for it. If not I’d steer clear.
