Dry and fresh
We found that our basement was beginning to grow mold, so we looked for a dehumidifier and found this one. We have been using it for a few days after receiving it. It is very effective, removes excess moisture from the air, making the space feel much more comfortable. The mold has not grown any more. The machine is small and flexible, the noise is not loud when it works and the settings are easy. Cleaning and maintaining it is simple. Overall, it’s an excellent product for keeping rooms dry and fresh, perfect for anyone looking to improve their indoor air quality. It is a good product.

High quality, quiet, cost effective
Very quiet, compact and excellent for a crawl space. I have a very narrow entry way to a dirt floor crawl space and the dehumidifier barely made it in and works great in there. I set it at 51% humidity and it automatically turns on runs a while until is gets down to 47% humidity and then automatically shuts off. The crawl space is right under out breakfast nook so i was worried i would hear it but its so quiet i can’t even tell when it’s on. Also, it’s very efficient and doesn’t use much electricity.

This is a revised review as of 12/29/25.In an earlier review, I noted that we had purchased this unit to dehumidify our attached garage. It worked great in the summer. However, in the winter, our garage is generally 40 to 50 degrees and we noticed the unit became much less effective. The humidity level stayed at 75% even though we’d set it to 55%. We contacted Moiswell’s customer service and they informed us that the ideal temperature is ~65 degrees. (According to the manual, however, the unit can operate between 41 and 95 degrees.) What we learned from customer service is that unit is not meant to be used continuously in 40 degrees. The unit will protect the coils etc during cold weather via the heat mode, but doesn’t actually dehumidify effectively in that temperature.We will keep using the unit in the summer months – it’s really well built and will last, I’m sure. But not in the winter. (For that matter, it seems dehumidifying in 40 degree temperature is a long shot for most, if not all, dehumidifiers.) Instead, we are looking into insulating our garage and installing a heater to warm the air.I changed my review from one star to four stars on 12/29 because Moiswell’s customer service was prompt and responsive, even during the holiday and weekend.
