Not worth it.
Shotty connection to internet no matter where it’s positioned. Will easily turn on, rarely connects to turn off. Must turn off manually.

Easy to set up and use
Love these smart plugs. I’m using them for my Christmas lights. They set up quickly and once you set up a routine in the Alexa app you don’t have to do anything else. I have my lights set to turn on/off at a certain time every day. The plug is small but works perfectly for my needs. They’re compatible with Alexa app or speakers. Set a routine or a timer and that’s all there is to it.

Does not connect to Echo Gen 1
it doesn’t connect to older Echo’s. It does connect to Apple and Google home apps but i have all my other smart devices connected to Alexa app.

poor substitute and product
These plugs which I was forced to purchase because Amazon and Amazon Alexus stopped working with Wemo plugs do not work very well. They loose connection to Amazon Alexus constantly. A VERY poor replacement!

I have no idea why this product even exists. Get the regular Amazon Basics plug.
This is the stupidest product idea in the world. It is a smart plug that requires an Amazon “Matter” device. The regular Amazon Basics plug just works with the regular Alexa App, and can be managed through any Amazon Echo device.You might think that because you have Echo Show or Echo Dot devices it will just be a different way to connect. However “Matter” only works with the latest versions of Amazon Echo devices.So in summary, the regular plug easily works with everything. This plug only works if you have very specific new Amazon devices.I have no idea why this product even exists.

Plug loses connection
This plug constantly loses connection. The whole point of this plug is to be able to turn on my lamp with voice command and instead I have to reconnect the plug constantly to my Alexa device making it useless.

Perfect for a grow light timer. Simple to setup. Silent, opposed to the pin style outlet timers. It can automatically adjust to sunrise/sunset in routines (up to 1hr before or after)… Mine turn off for a couple hours in the afternoon and then come back on 1hr before sunset. Also now on cloudy days I can also just turn them on “manually” in the app from anywhere. Not sure what other people are using these for but was exactly what I needed, not to mention even cheaper than old style timers (2pk for 16.50).

This thing is awesome. I’ve found a few uses so far like turning the Christmas lights on and off but it’s also great for managing lights in the bedroom at night. I plug all our light emitting electronics into it and the have an automatic shut down at night so the lights don’t disrupt our sleep. Highly recommend for an easier sleep without having to remember everything.
