These are a really good buy for the money. Here’s what I’ve discovered after having them for over a year:* Motion detection is highly sensitive. Whether you use it for security or a light to come on to see by, this aspect is truly excellent.* Double AA batteries have lasted months with my applications; always a bonus when there is less maintenance and cost to run them!* Light becomes dimmer as batteries need replacing, so this is a useful indicator.* Highly durable; both of mine are in full Arizona sun and rain with no issues.* Plenty of light, even as they start to dim when batteries need replacing.* ‘Tilt-able’ in its housing, so light can be directed where needed with ease.* Super-easy to set up and install; took me around 5 minutes.I absolutely recommend these lights for outdoor use!

LOVE this! Use good batteries (not the cheap, Amazon basics)- use Energizer. They have more ‘ooomph’ and last longer before you have to replace. And it is a bit confusing when you get it- you have to slide the bottom part off of the base to get to the area to get to the area where you canscrew it into the siding or where you want it. Instructions are lame, lol.

Works well, can’t turn it off
The motion detection works well. It’s bright and lights up the area well. My only gripe, and the reason it isn’t five stars, is it has no on/off switch or any way to turn it off. I have some similar lights that allow you to roll it back, which essentially turns it off. It never occurred to me that this one would not do that. I think I could turn it upside down and that might stop it from detecting motion; however, I like the way my previous ones work better.

Great light
This light is great. It’s not bad looking, small and unobtrusive, yet gives off enough light to light an entire stairway. I installed it for my elderly mother (easy installation) for stairway safety and she loves it. No more going down 14 dimly-lit stairs or fumbling for a light switch at the top when her hands are full. The motion sensor catches her movement whether she’s starting up from the bottom or down from the top, and the swivel function is awesome. She can use it on the stairs and then swivel it around to illuminate the closet at the bottom, and I was able to adjust it to just the right position to light the stairs without shining it in her face. The only-light-when-it’s-dark feature appeals to her frugal nature and my environmental consciousness. Highly recommend.

Works as advertised. Actually gives off a lot of light. Mine is exposed to the elements and it has been working for over a year, only had to replace batteries. I have it above my exterior door, which is totally dark at night, allows me to get my key in the lock and see surrounding area.

Ugly light, feels cheap for the higher price point. Feels/looks like its worth about $5 not $55. 200 lumens is nothing like what the pictures show outside. Regretful purchase.

I find these lights are really easy to install and the motion detectors work very well. I initially bought one for my back stairs going down into my yard but found I needed 2 to really brighten up the whole length of the stairs (approx 14). My dog is getting very old and wouldn’t go down the stairs at night anymore so these lights help immensely. I did get rechargeable batteries so that I wouldn’t have to keep buying new ones. All in all I’m very happy with them now that I have the two.
