THE PERFECT MANTLE CLOCK
The box was pretty. Made by Bulova. I couldn’t believe my eyes; how beautiful this clock is. The perfect size, the perfect color. It is a quiet tickless clock. It chimes on the hour. I set mine not to chime between 12:00 a.m – 6:00 a.m. it is a beautiful chime. It is loud enough, I can see the time from across the room. I am so happy with my purchase.

Keeps good time
Very nice looking clock . Directions need to keep up with factory changes . My clock does not have a switch that will make the night time silence feature work . It only moves one click ON or OFF . Although my clock not only plays the Westminister Melody but counts the hours with 1-12 strikes . Reading other feedbacks that say no hour strikes setable silence hours it seems like you get what you get . Other than that it is a real nice clock .

Beautiful and a pleasure to hear!
I bought this mantle clock as a gift for my lady. She LOVED it!The face is large and easy to ready, while being elegant, yet understated.The chimes sound much more realistic than the videos of the clock would make it seem and it does, indeed, chime the hours (you just have to wade through the rather convoluted setting procedure).The veneer is of great quality and the finish is rich and even.When my lady opened it, she got a little misty. It really is that beautiful.

Once An Hour Chimes
This model chimes on the hour only and not every fifteen minutes. Check under the clock for another battery chamber.

Silent movement. No ticking. Love that. Chimes sound great and there is a volume control on the bottom of the clock. I set volume low so it could only be heard in my living room. It also counts out the hour. One tone for one o clock two for two o’clock. Etc. great clock

I ordered this clock as it is very similar in style (only smaller) of a clock that used to grace the mantel of my grandfather’s house, and that I really liked. That clock chimed for everything: one chime on the half-hour, and a Westminster chime, followed by the number of chimes for any given hour. I like that this clock only chimes on the hour, with a Westminster chime only, no chimes to denote the number of the hour. Furthermore, it is not a loud chime. I can’t hear it from my upstairs bedroom with the door open at night. One reviewer noted that the chime for this clock was a bit “tinny”. Well, a bit maybe, but not to the extent that it ruins the clock for me in any way. I think that a louder, fuller sounding chime wouldn’t really suit what is essentially a smaller version of a mantel clock. I believe I got more than my money’s worth with this clock – I really like it and it suits my living room very well. I recommend this clock for anyone who is hopeful of finding a smaller version of a popular mantel clock style, and who doesn’t want to listen to a lot of chiming throughout the day and night.
