I rested a medium-sized ribeye on it, and the deep groove caught every bit of juice before it could hit my countertop. If you’ve ever had to mop up steak blood from a flat board, you’ll appreciate this.Stability: The thickness is just right. Terrible. Had a weird smell that would not come out even after a few washes. Let it just sit on the counter for a week or so to see if the smell would dissipate and one day I looked at it, and it had already split down the middle despite not being used even once.
