The legs screw onto the side pieces, not the bottom of the base.
I love this. It’s sturdy, solid, and really well made. At first I had trouble finding the hardware because it was taped where I didn’t see it. Like others, I was mad when I didn’t see any leg holes on the base. That’s because after you screw on the side pieces the legs screw onto the bottom of those. It is super easy to put together once you realize you have to have the top open to screw the sides on. I think it looks great and I got it for my elderly dog who is having trouble getting onto my bed. Unlike the dog ramp that I bought her, she wasn’t scared standing on it because it doesn’t move. The storage space is a definite bonus. The price is cheap but the furniture is not.

Excellent quality, and storage. Beautifully made. Easy to assemble. I got the beige but it is more on the whiter side, but no complaints. My cats decided to use it as their couch which is perfect sized for them. It’s a win win
