Usage Tips: To turn on Always-On Mode, Turn the wall switch off and on within 3 seconds. The bulb will flash to confirm that always-on mode is active. To re-activate motion-sensing mode, turn the wall switch on and off for more than 3 seconds and thene turn on. The bulb will stay on for 5 minutes after the last motion is detected.

I like the warmth and brightness of the light – it isn’t artificial looking and has good temperature for a LED.Motion sensing is responsive – it comes on when I walk by. It is just about right in terms of sensitivity. Stays on for a few minutes after motion stops. I think dusk to dawn is wasteful and light polluting so this seems like the best solution. This hangs slightly inside the bottom of my fixture but there is no negative impact on motion responsiveness. Replaced Ring smart bulbs that had an ugly color temp, unreliable integration with Ring ecosystem, and unreliable ability to shut off/on, with lights often becoming out of synch with the app settings (to include brightness constantly resetting to minimum values and bulb being lit when app said it was off and vice versa). Though these bulbs cannot integrate with Ring, they provide better reliability for what I need in an exterior light bulb.

Pretty bright, motion sensor works at night
Great motion sensor and bright LED in outside fixtures. Motion sensor did not work in one of my indoor stairwell lights. It never shut off indoors, but works in my outdoor fixtures. Stays off during the day, comes on with motion at night, exactly what I wanted outside.

Technically works, just not for my application
We always have such a hard time finding the light switch when we go into our garage at night, and there are often times where we have our hands too full to fumble around for it anyway. Enter the idea of a motion sensor light bulb.This bulb works as spec’ed. It simply screws into a standard light socket. When you enter its detection area, it turns on the light. When there’s no motion for five minutes, it turns off the light. If you need the light to stay on indefinitely, you can just flick the switch a couple times, and it stays on indefinitely. I like the color/temperature of the bulb, too. It’s a bright, clean, white light.Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. The 90° cone of detection is just too narrow. The bulb doesn’t catch us when we open the door, and we have to get almost under it for it to trigger. That means we have to navigate the obstacles in the garage the dark–which is why we need the light in there in the first place–before the light will come on. So sadly, this is not the solution for us.I was still able to make use of it, though. I put it in our attic; the bulb there is positioned at an angle, so it catches when the door opens. And it’s better than the dim yellowish bulb that was in there already. So I guess it’s not a total loss.

well functioning outdoor motion sensor bulb with a daylight sensor
Bright, true color, good motion detection for its design but perhaps better suited for shorter light fixtures (ie that cover the sensor). Potentially ceramic risers can help but most are not outdoor rated.

Shuts off after 5 minutes
These motion sensor light bulbs are great. Perfect solution for forgetting to turn off light. Works perfectly. I only wish we could set the timer to shut off sooner than 5 minutes

Stopped working – now comes on and stays on on its own
Used these for a year as motion sensor lights for two separate bedroom closets, one on the north and one on the south wall of my bedroom. They worked perfectly for the first year or so, then suddenly they started coming on in the middle of the night and will not go back off (normally they go off after a minute or two).Its not possible there is motion as they are in two separate rooms, closed closets, no windows no airflow no movement. Also when they started malfunctioning and coming on the middle of the night, they won’t go back off like the do the other times. So they just stay on forever.Brightness and light level are good, just their weird problem coming on in middle of the night after a year. Never happened before now, now happens every night.

Probably the best out there, but still not very good
Better than the 30 second on Ameritop bulbs which I returned (excellent experience) but this replacement still has some quirks. On one bulb, it went to always on immediately after being turned on. Eventually got it back to sensor mode, but takes a lot more that the 3 seconds off to reset. Another bulb stopped detecting motion even though it was dark and powered up. Got it on in always on mode, but had to turn it off overnight and powerup in daylight to get it back in what I hope is sensor mode. I expected more from GE, but have to realize it is made by someone else who just pays to use their name.

5 minutes ON automatic lights
This is my second time buying automatic lightbulbs that turn on with motion. I use them in my garage and these last for five minutes since the last movement. Previously, I had lights that had 30 or 60 seconds but found the movement sensor wasn’t always working. At least with this one, it’s on for at least five minutes, then turns off itself. Does need to be reset if you have a mild power outage as they go back to ‘always on’ function.

I bought a set of two, one of them didnt work so I had to return this unfortunately. The one that did work was bright enough and worked well, however the motion detection wasnt as sensitive as I thought it would be.

Works very well in my basement where I have two lights, one over a desk and the other one is motion sensor so that way you don’t have to have two lights burning and only one being used. I also use one outside in my back deck, and it’s fantastic at detecting motion of animals, my dog or people long before you need to come up the stairs. Nice and bright so you can see your way up the deck safely. I live in Canada where the temperature goes from plus 35 Celsius to minus 35 Celsius and this light bulb still works

These lights are bright and have manual on off override that works fine. I purchased for an outside light but the fixture reduces the motion sensor range a lot. Not really a fault of the bulb. I am now using the lights inside the garage in the ceiling without a fixture. Works fine. Turns on and off. Stays on for about 5 min. The range seems to be about 6 feet from the bulb it will turn on (inside my garage). A bit pricey but good colour, and a good brand name (I hope long life). Some of the other ‘no name’ lights only stay on for 30 seconds.
