Reliable and Bright Motion Sensor Lights!
The GE LED+ Motion Sensor Light Bulbs are an excellent upgrade for outdoor lighting. They are super bright yet give off a pleasant warm white glow that’s easy on the eyes. The motion sensor works perfectly — it detects movement right away and provides great coverage for my driveway and backyard.

Works as Advertised
Other kinds of motion detecting floodlights only come with one motion sensor operating both lights. You have to choose just one direction to point them. These lights each have their own sensor. This enabled me to point my existing floodlight fixture 180 degrees opposed from each other, and they light independently. I was a little hesitant to try these, reading another review that says they don’t turn on. They don’t turn on in daylight, but by design only come on after dark and with motion. I’ve had 4 of these for about a month now, and they have been great! Now they each come on only as needed. And if I happen to be inside when they come on, I can better tell what direction motion was detected.

Wonderful idea for automatic lighting
I have purchased these motion sensor light bulbs for over my front door and for my patio area. I love the fact that they are so easy to use; nothing to program. They are durable, provide bright light, are excellent quality and last a long time. I recommend them highly to enhance safety around your home.

This light bulb works great! I use this on my porch and the light turns on only when it’s dark and only when motion is detected. I can always come home to a lighted entry. I can also feel safer when I can see who is at the door at night. I highly recommend.

Be aware that you can turn off the motion detection function, but you can turn it back on.
We had a motion detector light in our backyard for about 30 years, and about two years ago, the detector part stopped working. A friend who knows electronics offered to hardwire the light socket to the power: screw a bulb in, it’s on; unscrew it, and it’s off. Not a good solution. He suggested we check on “smart” lightbulbs.While looking at those, I noticed these motion detector bulbs. If they can do this, we can use our old lamp and be good to go. One big tip: because our light was now hard-wired, as I screwed this new bulb in, it flickered on and off several times. WHICH INADVERTENTLY TURNS OFF THE MOTION DETECTOR FEATURE. I thought the light was no good as it wouldn’t turn off. Reading the instructions, I figured out what happened. Turned off the circuit breaker for over 3 seconds, returned the motion detector capability, and now all is good.This works as promised.

Reading the reviews, and from personal experience.It looks like a % of the bulbs ship faulty.I ordered 2 bulbs, One of the 2 is always on, it never does turn off.What % of the bulbs are faulty, and what % is acceptable?
