I didn’t expect to like this lamp so much! The colors are gorgeous and super smooth — it instantly gives my room a cozy or party vibe, depending on the mode. The JBL speaker sounds clear and loud enough for chill music or podcasts, though it’s not super bassy.Setup was super easy, and the Govee app is fun to play with — tons of lighting effects! The battery lasts a few hours, which is fine, but I wish it had a handle to move it around more easily.Overall, it’s a really fun and stylish lamp that makes any room feel alive. Paired Two Govee Lamp 2 Pros for True Stereo Sound
I could not resist grabbing two of these on Black Friday at $135 a pop with list price being $180. My primary reason for buying two is to pair them for Stereo sound which works perfectly. The JBL speakers sound much better than expected though my musical tastes do not lean to pounding bass. I use the equalizer on my phone’s music player to make adjustments and it sounds great. Make note that the user guide suggests keeping the lamp plugged in as opposed to on battery if using in a pair because it requires more juice. Just to be clear, if you are using one lamp, the sound is excellent mono. If paired with a second lamp, it is not double mono, it is true stereo. Setup is simple once you download the Govee app, the lamp will offer to connect to the internet and ask if you wish to update the firmware which of course you do. The light shows are endlessly entertaining both bright and gorgeous.

Nice speaker for a small room
Decent sound for a small room (two make a better impression). Very nice for a small apartment or office. The lights are amazing, my favorite is the ambient lighting – it omits a wonderful, soft glow that is relaxing. It was very easy to set up (to me) and we had no problems connecting it to Bluetooth

Sounds good, lots of light (and options), and not too big.
This thing is really good. Plenty bright enough for lighting, nothing blinding but if you had to cut your nails it’ll work just fine. Govee has a great app, lots of pre-made lighting options that are pretty cool. Theres some videos about it, they’re pretty much correct. The speaker does really well, especially for something this small. I love the built in white noise options. Just all around great, and for the price I think its worth it. I didnt want Alexa or Google in my apartment like that and I wanted to have the lighting, so this was a big win.

Extremely Stressful
It worked amazingly at first for about 1 to 2 weeks. Then it started randomly dimming to 1% and the sound effect turning down to 1%. When I’d try to turn it up in brightness, it would immediately only seconds later fall back down to 1%. I gave up on it but then I wanted to try using it again after about 2-3 weeks. For the first few hours it worked great but then it started changing colors and sound effects on it’s own without me even having the app open. What was a fun little light turned into an extremely annoying and major headache. Now I just think it’s easier to stop using the light completely. It’s possible that someone else could be controlling the lamp somehow via bluetooth or wifi but I have no idea how someone else could have gotten access to it. It’s been a huge headache. I can’t see if someone else has access to controlling it.

Great Concept, but Sync Issues Make It Frustrating
I generally love all Govee products, but this one not so much. The lights themselves are very nice, but I bought two specifically to pair them, and that’s where all the problems start. They don’t sync well together. One is usually significantly brighter than the other, or they’re completely out of sync. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts just to get them to turn on at the same time. Pairing the speakers in stereo mode is also more of a process than it should be.The lamps are rechargeable, but the battery only lasts around three hours, which isn’t great if you want them running for an evening. They are highly customizable in the Govee app and come with a lot of preset scenes, so the features are there, but the execution needs work.Overall, nice idea but too many bugs for the current price. I think around $80 would be a more realistic cost for what these offer.

Gorgeous lights, excellent vibe
This thing is so cool. Nice sound, but the light show is what sells it. It’s honestly gorgeous and really fun to play with. Connecting via Bluetooth to the iPhone was a little cumbersome but once done it’s easy. Sound for JBL speaker is nice but cracks a little even at short distance.

Cool lamp and okay speaker. Having both in one is nice to create ambiance in any room. I like that it can be cordless. The other Govee lamps that I have must remain plugged in somewhat limiting them. I like the two in one light speaker. Also nice larger size compared to the other Govee table lamps.

Absolutely love this lamp! It has so many cool settings to give a different ambiance to what ever your mood is. My partner has one on his side of the bed too and we can put them in stereo for either the light or the speaker or both and it has amazing sound.Definitely recommend this light to anyone who wish to get a cool feeling to whatever room you are putting it in 🤗

It’s a cool lamp. The speaker is very clear but not overly loud. It’s what you would expect a high quality mid sized Bluetooth speaker to sound like. I live in a small space and it is more than enough. It has more scene effects than the last lamp, and it’s almost twice the size. I gave it 4 stars as I don’t like the touch buttons – you have to touch them just the right way and it’s annoying. Tactile buttons would have been a lot better. That being said I rarely use the buttons anyways so meh.
