Stunning semi-sheer, non see through curtains
I love these curtains! I was not expecting something this high quality for the price. They are made from a silky material. They are semi-sheer, letting in probably 40-50% of the light. This was necessary for us, as we have a lot of plants that have high light requirements. However, they provide 99% privacy, unlike most semi sheer curtains that are pretty much transluscent or transparent. I turned on the lights indoors at night and walked outside to look through — you can only see silhouettes of things less than 5 inches away from the window. If something is more than 5 inches from the window, people can’t even see a silhouette, which is absolutely incredible. These are equivalent to the Lumos curtains, which can cost $250+ per pair of curtains of equivalent size. For 10% of the price of Lumos curtains, you get something equivalent that provides almost full privacy yet all the light requirements.They DO NOT require any ironing or washing; they look great right out the box. My windows are about 100 inches wide; I bought 4 pairs per window for about $17 each pair (Amazon was running a sale for the cream yellow ones). In general, you want the total width of the curtains to be around double the width of the window. For example, if your window is 100 inches, you want the sum of all the panels to be 200+ inches, which requires at least 4 54 inch curtains. If your window is only 50 inches, you just need one pair.The colour is wonderful. I personally had wanted the beige curtains but my boyfriend vetoed me and chose cream instead, which I reluctantly agreed to. My house is full of wood panelling so it’s dark, and I was worried that the cream would look too starkly different from the walls. Well, he was right. The cream is the perfect colour in this room. It adds a soft and inviting feel to the home.In general, if you want to play it safe, you want the curtain colour to differ from the wall colour slightly for some subtle contrast. So, if you have cream walls, choose ivory or beige. If you have white walls, choose cream. I usually recommend against white curtains because they can look dirty easily, but that’s up to you. Additionally, white curtains will filter in a colder light, which may make your home look more sterile. If you want a warm, comfortable environment, choose something with yellow or orange undertones.If you choose coloured curtains, make sure that something in your room matches with it — like a throw blanket, wall decor or furniture piece. Don’t just choose coloured curtains for the hell of it. It will look bad aesthetically.Good luck. I highly recommend these curtains; they’re the only semi sheer curtains that truly offer privacy on Amazon, as what I could find. Great price. I will probably buy more.

Privacy and with light!
Gorgeous curtains that allow light to come through but without sacrificing privacy. You cannot see through them as the fabric is a tighter weave. The fabric has a nice drape. Some other polyester curtains look like costume fabric, but these are so pretty. I have 4 sets of these curtains in white color. Two are for the living room, kitchen window and a hallway. Usually I went for linen-like texture curtains (which are see through close up) but moving to a 1st story apartment, I needed more privacy. Nicely sewn as well. I tossed into the dryer to remove wrinkles and lines, but steaming my help too. They are affordable, pretty and do their job.

Excellent quality and value
These curtains provide a simple, elegant solution to cover a window for privacy. They let some light through, but shield activity inside. Good thickness and great value.

I have very reactive dogs that think they need to be on window duty ALL day.I wanted something that was light coloured, but not see through.Bingo! These did not fail me. I used 6 panels for my 100” window in pure white.Dogs are disappointed, however, this chicky is not!
