Beautiful Rug That’s Truly Practical
I genuinely love this rug: it has made my life so much easier thanks to its machine-washable design and non-slip backing. I have several rugs of this super thin, nonslip, type. On a smooth, hard, surface they perform as described – once flattened. I don’t use them on carpeted or uneven flooring. Their thinness will show the irregularities of the flooring, and putting any furniture on it, when on top of other carpeting will produce a pincushion effect.The nonslip claim is only true on a smooth, flat. clean surface. Because they are so thin, it’s only the thing that keeps them from bunching up is the grip of the rubberized bottom.These rugs can also be hard to vacuum: The strong suction provided by the thin fabric and the rubber bottom almost “glues” the vacuum attachment to the rug. You have to stand on the rug and pull or push away from where you’re standing to keep it from lifting the rug off the floor.They always come with wrinkles where it’s folded for shipping. The only effective means I’ve found for pressing them flat is to place them underneath a rug of the same size or larger for several days or longer.If you’re Ok with these limitations of the type, this is an attractive rug in a traditional pattern, with slightly distressed look which subdues the “brand new rug” appearance.

Soft, Subtle, Recommended
I ordered this area rug at a friend’s recommendation, and, taking it out of the box, the softness made an impression on me. This feels good to the touch. As a matter of fact, unprompted, my teenager mentioned liking the feel of the rug and asked from where it came. The colors that I chose coordinate with our decor, and the rug adds a welcoming accent to the entryway. I am considering getting one for another doorway in the home, too.
