Better Quality Than Many Others I Have Used
At night the landscape around my home is ablaze with colorful lights, all of them solar, so when I spotted these color changing spotlights I had to have them! Even though I have them set on “white” for the photos I have included, they have an array of beautiful colors they can change to. You can set the color you want, or let them cycle through different colors themselves. But good quality solar lights are more than just the colors they produce…The quality and workmanship of these lights exceed many of the others that I’ve experienced. One of the most important aspects of having good quality solar lights for me is being able lift them from the ground to relocate them without losing the pointed stake that goes in the ground. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled up a light just to have the stake remain in the ground and have to go digging for it, and reattach it to the light itself. These lights have secure stakes that do not easily slide out and will stay secure if you want to relocate your lights.The button used for changing the colors is very comfortable on your fingers and is covered by a soft layer of rubber. I like this because it keeps the button protected from the elements and doesn’t dig into year thumb or finger when pressing it. This is another sign of a quality light.The housing that the solar lights, bulbs and solar mechanism is in is all made from high quality hard, extremely durable weather resistant plastic. It’s not cheap fragile plastic but like many of the competitors, but these lights are built to withstand several seasons of outdoor weather and elements. These lights were made to last, but just how long, time will tell. I don’t expect to have to replace these for a few years.Would I choose these lights again? You bet! In a heartbeat.

This is well packaged and arrive in pristine condition.I did order these because of the advertised capacity to produce either a brightness setting of “High Light” or “Low light” and create either spotlight (white) or accent lighting (RGB) as desired. After reading through the reviews, the confusion reigns as no one can discover a toggle feature in the sole switch or another dedicated switch. My interpretation is White light is meant to be the “High” choice, and the other array of colors “Low”. So I am very disappointed in that HIGH should never have been used as a descriptive term, which I was seeking for my unlit driveway.As accent lighting, the color choices are fine. The effect is elegant and creative, producing isolated garden or walkway or house features for a welcoming exterior designer touch.The charging ability is fast, and after a 1/2 day of sun exposure does seem to last through the night..The quality of the housing is thick and durable, unlike many other comparable products. The housing seems well sealed, as if it was meant to last through many wind snow and sun cycles. Further design enhancements are the swivel and directional abilities of the light itself, and as others have mentioned, the stake itself does not detach from the upper light body when removing from the ground.These solar lights with the excellent sun-to-energy conversion rates, long lasting panels (?) , place anywhere abilities (no wiring needed) and reduced electricity rates are the future and the future is now.

Good solar lights with a big solar panel.
With all the solar lights I own, one of the biggest differences from this one and a lot of the others is how big the solar panel is for a light that only has 2 LEDs. It’s not that bright, but it does project a pretty good distance due to the magnifiers over the LEDs. Though that also means that the light is more focused, with a cutoff ring where the light ends rather than a fade out like with other lights.I mounted them about 10 feet up and have them angled towards the ground for path lighting. With the lights mounted up there, they receive the sun most of the day and are able to stay on all night long due to the combination of a large solar panel and only two LEDs.Not sure why there are 2 plastic tabs that stick out on the clear part of the light. They don’t appear to serve any functional purpose, so maybe they’re just supposed to look like cat ears.So far, they’ve been through heavy rain twice and have no issues. So the overall quality seems like it should be good. At roughly $10 per light ($21 for a pack of 2 at the time of my review), for what seems like it should last a very long time, I’d say it’s a pretty good value.

Great Battery Life and Fun Colors (“Cat Ear” Style!)
I love these little solar lights—the two large lenses make them look like glowing cat ears! They were super easy to set up. The kit comes with screws for wall mounting or stakes for the ground; I used the stakes to line my sidewalk and had them ready in minutes.The battery life exceeded my expectations. After the initial charge, they lasted all through the night. I was up before the sun the next morning, and they were still going! This is impressive considering they only get about 6 hours of direct sun in my yard.Since it’s the holidays, I was happy to find you can lock the colors rather than just having them cycle. I have one set to solid red and one to solid green. They are festive but still bright enough to safely illuminate the walkway. The 135-degree adjustable angle is handy for aiming the light right up the path, and they’ve held up perfectly through the rain so far. I’m already planning to get a few more to light up the front tree, and I can’t wait to try the strobe effect for pool parties next summer.
