Great Side Tables! (Brown and Gray Mixtures are about the same color.)
These are great outdoor tables. They are very sturdy; I use them as plant stands for larger ceramic pots. They go together easily in the promised 5-10 minutes using the hardware and tools provided in the box. Built according to the directions, the two I have built both ended up completely square (all four legs solidly on a level floor; no wobbling) and solid enough for a nearly 300-pound man to stand on. (We did that very carefully and as a test only — that is NOT the intended use; no side table should be used as a step-stool!) The “mix” colors appear credibly to be wood (at least to the casual observer). Though the listing doesn’t say, the hardware does seem to be stainless (or coated to impede rust). I am seeing no rust, sagging, or discoloration after two weeks of the table being outside in the weather at my Florida home. (Though since I’m in south Florida, I do expect eventually anything will get worn down by our hot summer sun; I will return here to provide an update if I do start to see unexpected damage, wear, or rust over time.)I was unsure which color would best match my existing outdoor furniture, so I ordered both the Brown mixture and the Gray mixture. The brown mixture was back-ordered, so the gray got built first and has been outside in the weather for a couple of weeks. See the attached photo for a comparison in full sun: The Brown (just built) is on the left; Gray is on the right. The gray has been in the weather for a couple of weeks, so the “newness” of the color has worn off; aside from that, the two are nearly interchangeable to my eye. Both have credible faux wood-grain patterning with both brown and gray; both go fine with my existing brown faux-wood and -rattan outdoor furniture. In some lights, the gray seems to be the more “brown” of the two. I would not again wait for back-order for either color; I’d just go with the one that is in stock and call it “close enough.”
