Midtown Umbrellas 10-Year-No-Fade – 9 Ft – UV Proof Ebony Black Polyester Fabric – Umbrella Outdoor Patio, Auto-Tilt Aluminum Frame Patio Umbrella for Garden, Pool & Deck – Black Pole -This 9 ft patio umbrella is nice and big, and provides a lot of shade. Was able to choose the color and type of fabric – selected black Terylast fabric with a 10 year warranty. It has a black aluminum pole and ribs, with crank to open/close and tilt in one direction. It has a tie strap with velcro to keep it closed. The pole comes in two sections with a metal spring loaded button (push it in, slide pole in, and button pops out and clicks into place) to connect it securely. Umbrella appears to be made well. The height is nice and tall. Does not include cover but company sells covers separately. Instructions say you can remove fabric canopy to replace or clean. The fabric has pockets that the ribs slide into. It does not seem to relax very well on its own when trying to close it and you have to manually push it down to close with tie strap, feels like it resists closing, and if you continue to crank it will start to open again. Make sure you pair it with an umbrella base that is the recommended weight (see Midtown Umbrellas website for weight recommendation based on umbrella size).

Easily a 5 star for me.
I really like the fabric and overall look of the umbrella design. The thick fabric has excellent color (I chose blue) and blocks the sun very well. The umbrella is easy to raise and lower and the auto tilt worked as advertised. I personally like the square umbrella supports instead of the round. The product has a quality look and feel that I like.

Excellent umbrella; undisclosed fee
We have been enjoying this 8 foot umbrella for over a month. The slightly smaller size fits perfectly on our patio, the crank tilting feature works smoothly, the lovely navy fabric has remained waterproof in all of the recent weekend rain, and it has withstood the wind. It is excellent. However, we were surprised to receive an unexpected invoice from FedEx for duty and a processing fee. We were not aware that the product was shipping from Canada and the new tax would be applied. Other than that, we recommend this product.

I love this umbrella. It was very easy to install. It is really simple to put it down, or angle it towards the sun. The umbrella material seems heavy duty, and it looks like it will last a long time. It looks lovely in my pool enclosure, and helped brighten up my old patio table.

Ok, so the 6 ft umbrella actually never arrived from Amazon…I got a call from the vendor to let me know it wasn’t in stock. Instead of waiting up to six weeks I ordered it online from a vendor who also ended up saying it was not in stock. I decided to keep the order open until it was restocked and luckily it came in two weeks.It was worth waiting for. This is a quality umbrella. Had I realized I wasn’t going to be able to mount it where I wanted it, and had to mount it a few ft away, I would have ordered a larger size… but it looks nice, shades the chair I sit in on the deck and the terracotta is a welcome pop of colour. The umbrella cranks up, tilts and winds down with ease. I used railing brackets I purchased elsewhere to mount it directly to my deck posts. Next time I would order a larger size, but I would definitely order this brand again.
