High quality rug with vibrant colors.
This high quality rug is truly beautiful. It is worth the $$$ spent and absolutely “makes” the room. The pile is thick and it doesn’t require a pad underneath. I had to vacuum it several times after initially unrolling it, but that was expected with it being a wool rug. The colors are vibrant and not distressed looking.

Great Price for a Top Quality 100% Wool Rug
This 100% wool rug was exactly what we were looking for in terms of size, pattern, quality of material and backing. The rug color we received was not quite what we were expecting based on the picture on Amazon. I’ve attached a couple pictures of the rug we received to this review. You’ll notice there are blues and the pinks that appear much more prominent in the rug we received. But we like it anyway. I did a lot of research on rugs before we bought this. I wanted a rug we didn’t have to use with a rug pad so that meant we needed to have a soft backing that wouldn’t damage our new bamboo flooring. We didn’t want to use a pad for a couple reasons. 1. We didn’t need to worry about the rug slipping on a smooth surface because we were going to have a heavy oak dining room table sitting on top of it. 2. We weren’t going to have a lot of foot traffic walking across it which might wear out the rug quicker if you didn’t provide a cushion between the rug and a hard floor. The Safavieh wool rugs seem to have a nice soft backing to them and also are very moderately priced for 100% wool. I don’t think you can beat the price for the quality of this rug.The rug arrived in only 2 business days after we ordered it. We’re on the central coast of California and it shipped from a warehouse in Fontana in Southern California. The country of origin for this rug is India. It was shipped fully rolled and not folded. I had read reviews for some other wool rugs on Amazon where the buyers were complaining the rug came folded instead of rolled and the buyers had a terrible time trying to get the creases out so the rug would lay flat. So I was really pleased when this rug showed up rolled. The rug was also double bagged in heavy plastic which helped protect it from shipping damage. There were no unusual smells with this rug as I have read about in reviews with some other rugs from other manufacturers.

Great quality
Really surprised by the quality-for-the-price of this rug. It’s a thick pile of 100% wool. Deep colors (although the “gold” is really peach – worked fine for my room but would be disappointing if gold is what you liked about the rug.) No smell on arrival and just a day for it to settle flat. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice wool rug, heavy, has good weight to it. Lays on floor very nice, no wrinkles. Very happy with it. It has more gold in it then I thought, in photos it looked more greenish. I’m still happy with quality of rug, but do wish it had more green to it then gold

caveat emptor!!
buyer, beware! first off, i order four rugs, different sizes, distinct designs, each with their own order number. i received four completely different rugs which colors (drab) and designs (boring and banal) had absolutely nothing to do with what is advertised on amazon’s site! i love oriental rugs and have a number of them, all of which i have had for 15 – 30 years, all durable, beautiful, well made, even through growing kids, lots of dogs, cats. the FIRST day, my cat started to sharpen his claws (and got yelled at), and nap flew out! this has happened on the other small one, as well. the larger ones have been returned. this is junk! albeit very soft junk (does feel good on bare feet – about the only good thing i can say for the rugs). amazon, where is your quality control? safavieh, where is your integrity??? go to a real oriental rug shop, instead of buying this stuff!

This rug is gorgeous and well-made. We bought it for the hallway of our RV, and it looks stunning there. Looks like it will last a long time. The colours are a little more muted than we thought, but that is fine, suits the decor better. Very happy with this rug.

Purchased to protect the floor under my easel, and got much more than I bargained for. Rug is quite thick and significantly reduces fatigue (as compared to standing for hours on a stone floor).Sure, it shed a fair bit in the first weeks, but a quick zoom zoom and all was good.
