This is a great find and buy!!!
I have purchased several rugs the past few years I tried washable rugs since we have dogs and kids they always end up looking cheap even high end ones, so I’ve decided to just get ones I really love for our home even if they are cheaper. I received my rug yesterday and it’s very soft, the color is nice not yellowish at all someone had stated in a review it was on the yellow side. Even if we only get a year out of it I’ll be happy since it was so reasonably priced. It really is a beautiful rug!

Smelly, wrinkly, but not terrible
I ordered this 9’x12’ rug in ivory. It came on time, well wrapped but folded up as specified in the description. I read the other reviews and find several to be accurate regarding the formaldehyde smell and the fold lines/wrinkles. The rug definitely has a chemical smell. I have let it air out for about a week and the smell is still noticeable. The last picture shows the rug after one week, and the wrinkles have partly fallen out. I’m hoping that the wrinkles will disappear completely after I place furniture. The rug itself is the ivory color and thickness advertised. I am pleased with both the color and the feel of the rug. The rug does have two small pink spots. I have not yet tried to get those out, but they are small and I will be able to hide them under furniture so I did not return the rug. All in all, I got about what I expected, as this rug is inexpensive and so expectations were pretty low. The 3 stars are based on the wrinkles, smell and pink spots.

Terrible Smell!
**Update: Review changed based on Safavieh customer service. They were great and are sending a replacement (different style). They responded immediately and were so accommodating even before this review came out.I have several rugs from this company and have always been happy with the quality. For some reason this particular rug has such a strong odor that has not gone away after two months of use and we can’t tolerate having it in the house. It makes my husband and I feel physically sick when we are in the office with the rug. I’ve tried cleaning it several different ways, I have aired out the room and have taken the rug outside to hang in the sun for a couple days hoping it would go away, but it has not. I wrote the company and I’m hoping they respond with a solution.

Very Impressed!
The 9×12 rug we got didn’t quite fill the room so I decided to look for a cheap fix to add some layering and elongate the look, and I came across this 11×15 ivory rug. The rug is beautiful and so soft! And produces excellent vacuum lines if you’re into that kinda thing. Pretty impressed with the quality for the price point.

Exactly what I wanted, too bad it had to go.
I have purchased several rugs from this brand and have enjoyed them all – until this one. The smell is atrocious. Even after airing it out for weeks, baking soda and steam cleaning, it still smelled awful and had to go.
