Definitely worth the price
These work perfectly, most homes have a neutral wire so the installation should be pretty easy. They also integrate with my smartphone “Hubitat” using the TAPO integration.

Probably my favorite Homekit 3 way switch
Probably the best 3 way switch I have used that works with Apple Homekit. Mind you I haven’t ever used the most popular branded HomeKit switch brand made by Lutron. But for someone who wants two physical switches that can be placed in a 3 way circuit, I don’t think you can find a better option. You do have to be mindful of the instructions explaining how to wire the switches up depending on how the line/load wires come into the switch boxes. It’s incredibly easy to install though, and the dimmer function is also fantastic. I first connected everything up and immediately tried out the dimmer to find that my lights only worked for the first 4 or 5 dimming settings while the rest did nothing. I was a little bummed but figured I could work around that, and then when I went to set up the switch in the app it actually had a section specifically for configuring the dimmers to work with your specific lights by calibrating them. After doing that everything works perfectly!I only have 1 3 way circuit in my house, but if I had more, I wouldn’t hesitate to simply purchase these for those areas too. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly encourage others to give this a shot.

Got the job done for our kitchen lighting
I, just like many of you, like to automate the lighting in my house and not have to think about hitting switches every time I enter exit a room. I had been holding off on installing three-way switches that were smart for a couple years in my kitchen, and after about three or four iterations of switches being installed and uninstalled, I finally gave in and got the Tapo smart switches kit. I was not disappointed. Installation was easy, but that is kind of a given since I am an electrician. Functionality of the switches is great and day-to-day operation is great. I do wish that Tapo would address the issue of making smart functions or actions or schedules easier in its app to understand or complete in a few taps or steps than trying to navigate through if/then situations for timing of the switches. The switches have been holding up great the few months I’ve had them. I keep getting switches from Tapo every few months to the point almost all my switches in my house are Tapo in general. I’d advise, since this is my second kit purchased of this configuration of light switches, please purchase the new version of this kit as I’ve purchased the “like new” setup previously and have received switches someone already set up and fried internally, so they return them stating they work and everything with them is good, but the switch no longer operates in some form or fashion which makes it a waste of time to install, just to uninstall minutes later after troubleshooting. Would recommend if you’re looking to add to your Tapo switch arsenal!

Good value for a quality product
I replaced an older set of smart dimmers with this. The other ones were somewhat unreliable at times. Installation was pretty easy if you’ve done this sort of thing before. It was a little hard to get all the wires in the box since I had a large GFCI and another smart switch in that box, but it all fit. Setup took a few times to work, but once it was setup, I’ve not had any issues. It’s great to be able to dim from two locations with separate buttons on the switch instead of holding it down like many other switches require. Overall this is a good product at a reasonable price.

Better than other dimmers
They make automating your home so much easier and nicer. Will buy again. Better than other dimmers we’ve used with LED.

Connected to Google Home and works perfectly
I’ve installed many light switches, but this requires a neutral wire, so I felt a bit anxious and had someone else install. Was easy to connect to Google Home and works very well. I like that I can switch from either the switch itself or a smart device.

Surprisingly Easy to Install and Works Seamlessly Across Platforms
Installation was quite straightforward – as long as you can identify the load, line, neutral, and ground wires, you’re good to go. Take a moment to study your existing 3-way switch setup, especially the common and traveler wires, since this switch follows a similar wiring pattern. I’m not an electrician by any means; my only prior experience is replacing a few standard switches with smart ones. Despite my initial hesitation – especially after seeing it marked as a “Frequently returned item”- I went ahead, and honestly, I’m glad I did. It turned out to be easier than expected. As for the smart connection, thanks to Matter support, I didn’t have to rely solely on the Tapo app. I first added the switch using Matter via Apple Home, which automatically synced with the Tapo app, and then integrated it with Alexa through Tapo. Now I can control the switch from Apple Home, Tapo, and Alexa – a really convenient setup.

Good But Bad Details and Poor Marketing Communication Create Frustrations
Be careful when buying this product. You can not use this product to replace your 3-way switches in a 4-way setup. You can use its counter part the “S515” without the “D” in the name, for dimmer. I don’t like the fact that you have to install both switches ( the main and remote) at the same time. I get it from a dimming perspective but the basic setup should allow for you to install the first one, check the wiring, not have dimmin,g then install the second one, check the wiring, and have dimming.I found the calibration process via the app to be misleading and unclear. The dimming animation was suggesting it was testing when it wasn’t.I love that it does power monitoring and has control for how to handle lost of power.I like that the Tapo app brought in my existing TP-Link products, but I don’t like that they have multiple apps and should just standardize to one app.The price was good, so I would consider this product again. It is less than half the price of my Lutron Caseta switches and offers more functionality.

The dimmer feature is a good selling feature. This Kit is a matched pair. It only works if they are used together. Other than that, it is easy to setup and works well with Google Home via your Tapo account.

Quality is there, always satisfied with TP-LINK

The product itself is great, but Amazon shipped clearly used units to me instead of new ones.

This switch is ok….but it only handles up to 300W [incandescent]If you are putting a chandelier on this switch it may not work.Be sure to check the wattage on the circuit that you are planning on installing this on before you spend your time installing it. It has power monitoring built in, and if it draws more than 300w it will automatically shut off after a few minutes. The old version (Kasa 210 has a higher wattage limit [600w] but does not have a dimming function).
