Elegant and Sturdy
The VEGNIC 73″ Wood Coat rack is a great addition to a game room, party area or large entry way. It is majestic is stature and depicts a bygone classical era where elegance and ornate form were preferred. It is very functional and robust. If my count is correct there are near 20 areas available to hang or hook hats, coats, jackets and purses on this one rack. It is rated to hold up to 200 pounds of weight.The base is a 14-1/2″ wooden disk with a single center bolt that anchors it to a robust and ornate hardwood mast. The entire assembly including the mast sections are sturdy and connect tightly to one another. The four main upper branches are made from a polymeric material and appear to be molded. Their shape is consistent and very rigid although elegant in form. The lower sets of hooks are also molded in similar material. The base and mast materials are birch wood and the fittings appear to be stainless steel.The overall finish of the components appear to correctly match even though they are of different materials. One of the disappointing minor issues are that there has been little care given to mold flash removal form the plastic components. The mold parting lines are evident and not well sanded prior to finishing. The stainless steel fasteners for the arms and hooks are recessed but not plugged allowing them to be seen after the assembly is complete. This lack of detail attention resulted in the loss of one star from the review.In general, the stability, strength and overall design is wholly acceptable for its use and the cost yields a very good value. I would recommend this purchase.
