“This review is for Vego garden Frost Greenhouse Cover System for 4.0′ x 8.0′ (10 in 1) Garden BedIf you have difficulties with IKEA furniture, you may want to skip this one. The instructions leave a LOT to be desired, so I had to wing it and hope for the best. You also MUST have the appropriate garden bed for this cover system as it needs to attach to the garden bed directly in order to have stability. With all that being said, it is a really nice greenhouse setup. I’m looking forward to using it this spring to get an early start on our tomatoes next season! The cover seems like a good quality, but I’ll be looking to modify it a bit as we get a ton of wind where I am and I’m a little concerned the cover may blow away. But it’s a nice, thick plastic and keeps its form very well when all is said and done. It’s a little pricey, but seems worth the cost to me.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item.”

Love my grost greenhouse cover,This is well made and fits perfectly with my 2’x8’ raised garden bed. I hope this cover will help me to extend the growing season and grow salad in this winter!

Nice quality but expensive
This is one of my least favorite Vego products. I normally love this brand and have a few of their raised beds, which is why this cover appealed to me. It does fit one of my raised beds well (for now I’m using to protect dahlia tubers from getting overly saturated from rain). I also plan to use to get a head start on some of my heat-seeking plants. The main minuses, however, are the length of time in setting up what is just basically a frame… this is called a “system” but it’s just a frame with a cover… and the quite hefty price tag. While the materials are good and they do seem like they’ll last awhile, I could find a similar set-up for cheaper.

I got this for my dad for his pot plants

Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don’t meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly.Why I ordered this item: My dad grows a few pot plants each year since it’s legal where we live. This year he started late and his plants got moldy, so I got this for him as a gift to keep them dry when it starts getting foggy and rainy.Likes:* This works perfectly with the planter box we have. It’s a very similar 4×8 with rounded corners, but not the brand mentioned in the product listing.* The size was perfect for our raised bed.* The zippers feel sturdy enough. They are not crazy strong, but they should last at least four or five seasons.* This does an excellent job of keeping the birds and flying bugs out.* Assembly took a minute, but we did it together so it wasn’t too bad. I think it would be a lot less fun doing it by yourself.* The build quality on the frame feels sturdy and robust. I think you could build a frame yourself in a pinch, but it is definitely less expensive to just buy theirs.No likes:* NoneWould I pay full price for this product: YesFinal thoughts: Combined with the raised bed, this is the best planter box we have. I used to have a hoop house I built on one of the wooden boxes, but the plastic needed to be replaced every year so we took it down. This is a massive upgrade to that, and it cost less as well!

Well Made Solid Greenhouse When Mounted to Planter Bed.
Good quality greenhouse. Needs to be attached to a planter bed for stability. Loss of a star due to the directions which leave a lot to be desired. Sort of like “step 1, check to see you have all the pieces. Step 2, put frame together”. I wound up just looking at the picture and figuring it out from there. The planter bed I had didn’t have holes in the right places to mount the legs, so I had to drill holes to match the frames’ legs. Not too difficult. Once the frames’ legs were screwed into the planter bed, the greenhouse seemed solid. The weight of the planter bed should keep this from blowing over in a storm. And, most importantly, my wife loves it for protecting her succulents through the Winter.
