Worth the cost
Update: I now have 8 of these raised beds by Vego as of July 2025. My first Vego raised bed from 2022 is going strong and looks like new, even with mowing and weed whacking around it. Nothing damages these raised beds.Original review: Over the course of two years I’ve increased to 6 of these Vego Garden raised beds, a real upgrade from the wood bed and random pots I’d been growing vegetables in. The quality is excellent. The materials aren’t flimsy and the beds are sturdy and maintain their shape when filled with dirt. Assembly is tedious, but not a complete deal breaker. The first time ever assembling one took awhile, but now it takes me a little over an hour of continuous work to assemble one completely. Speed of assembly greatly increased when Vego switched to a nut design that had the washer already attached to it, versus having to put a separate washer and nut on each bolt. I think assembly would be easier if I had some sort of ratcheting wrench or even a drill with a socket attachment to tighten everything. Since I don’t, I use the tiny socket wrench enclosed with the parts kit, which is a tedious task. Each metal panel is wrapped on both sides with plastic that has to be removed, but once you get a corner pull started, the plastic rips off quickly. I’ve bought so many of these because they’re sturdy and I really like the olive green color. I think it makes my garden area look planned and intentional, versus thrown together. The major drawback is cost. There are other cheaper alternatives offered here on Amazon–but I think quality varies greatly according to reviews. I guess I’d rather pay more for something I know will last a long time, claims to be made of food safe materials, and won’t fall apart or rust– especially since I’m growing edible items in the beds.

These raised beds are awesome! I have six different sizes, and they all look and perform great. The quality is excellent, and my son was able to assemble them with ease. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or expand their garden!

Beautifully designed raised bed
I had purchased this raised bed to replace a previous cedar bed that had rotted out. I was very concerned about getting a material that would not leech chemicals into the soil because this is where we grow our veggies, which is how I came across the Vego Gardens.This garden is perfect for my needs. The size configurations have flexibility, which allowed me to fit it to my space adequately. It was very easy to assemble, and each panel was covered front and back with a protective layer that prevented scratches in shipping/ unboxing.After assembly, the garden is very sturdy. We used sticks, leaves, and compost, filling the top 12″ with new organic soil. I think the metal will hold in some moisture, while draining well through the bottom (the advantage of doing research on using the right materials to layer and fill the bed).Cosmetically, which was lower on my criteria, the bed is beautiful! They did not cut corners and I like the rubber lip on the top as well as the color, which coordinates nicely with our exterior on this part of our home. There are many fun accessories available from this company to add to easily (irrigation, lighting, netting, etc).Ultimately, I’m happy with the purchase, my plants are growing well and I think this will last quite a while for our needs.

Great Product
I have been thinking about similar products for several years and finally decided to buy two of these. I amsooooo pleased with them…their sturdiness, their quality, and their color. Even though I needed help withassembly, it was still very easy: no pathetic hardware and no unaligned holes for the hardware. I am anOld Person but have help often. My helper and I assembled it in the garage and were able to take it to the gardenwith no problem at all. They look great, they’re a perfect size for me…the ones I bought were 8 x 2…and Iam really excited about using them. Great Product.

I expected the version I bought to come with the bars to fasten to the inside and stop buckling but was able to bushcraft stainless wire to the nuts and it seems to do the trick. Fingers crossed
