More than 30-years ago, the first Woodstock Chime was created by Grammy award-winning musician Garry Krista from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympus, a 7th century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympus was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our bestselling wind chimes. The perfect sound!
I purchased these chimes as a gift for my daughter. We both have a fondness for the Pachelbel Canon music, so when I saw this product, I couldn’t resist.Following is my daughter’s response to her present:To some it might seem strange that one of the first things on my Christmas list this year was wind chimes. Even though I had long moved out of my parents’ house, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic for the sound of the wind chimes my mother has kept on the back porch for as long as I can remember. When I opened this beautiful bronze set of windchimes on Christmas morning, I couldn’t have been more excited. These wind chimes have an absolutely beautiful tone to them and if the wind blows just right you can hear those beginning tinkling notes of Pachelbel Canon. I couldn’t believe it! I have seen and tested many wind chimes in my hunt to find the perfect chimes to bring me back to my childhood and so often I was disappointed at the meek tinkling sound of the cheaper cutesy versions. The chimes I received are perfectly tuned and have an amazing sound quality that is unmatched by any others that I have found. So, although they may seem pricey at first glance, they are absolutely worth every penny to someone looking for a truly quality sound and not just wanting something cutesy to hang in their garden.Makes a fantastic gift! I plan to order more of these and they are available in different musical versions.

Great Overall Quality!
I’ve researched windchiemz for longer than I’d like to admit 😅 and landed on this one. I’m very glad I did! The 32in is a great size and sound, it has blended deep and high pitched tones that’s very calming. It has some weight to it, and over all feels like all parts are of good quality for the price point. The wind chime comes in a well put together box that’s perfect for gift giving. Definitely would recommend!

Beautiful sounding chimes
These are well made chimes and are nice quality materials. The tones are soothing. We had to lower them a bit lower than our others so they catch the wind better.Very pleased, would buy again.

BEAUTIFUL and incredible craftsmanship.
I was worried this would clang about in my fairly breezy garden, but it’s made so perfectly that even a very high wind makes beautiful music. Also, due to the excellent construction it will not get tangled up – it’s made nicely.Obviously a musician came up with these tones – this is the perfect combination of high and lower sounds, this varies all the time thanks to forethought in the way it is knotted.To me, this is the ultimate in wind chimes – always light and lovely in sound, soothing, like a sweet light breeze on a warm day – it’s just right.Would make a lovely gift – well packaged. I was thinking it was expensive but trust me on this – it’s a lifetime piece, it’s worth it if you’re looking for a sweet sound outside.

The neighbors even enjoy them!
We bought two sets of these wind chimes for different family members for Christmas. We were able to go onto the Woodstock chimes website and listen to any and all of their various models before we purchased from Amazon. It’s a very cool feature!We like this particular set of chimes because the family members we bought them for, are classical music aficionado’s and the chimes are not too big or small. You must first understand the chimes are measured from the hanging ring at the top, to the bottom of the wind sail. This chime is appx. 32.5 inches long. That does not mean the tubes are 32.5″ long. In the case of this chime, the large tubes range from about 14-18 inches.My mother called me the day after Christmas to let me know a neighbor commented on how beautiful they sounded as she walked through the neighborhood. I find them pleasing because they are not too high pitched nor are they too low. I am pleased with the construction, quality and craftsmanship. The chimes came with a card detailing the musical notes as well as registration information and warranty.The only complaint I have is the hanging ring is made of a hard plastic. I would like Woodstock to have used a rust-proof metal instead. I don’t anticipate any issues… I just don’t think the plastic is as functional as it is cheap nor does it match the quality of the rest of the chime.I will definitely buy Woodstock chimes again for birthday, wedding, anniversary and all occasion gifts. They are easily half the price of some other chimes I have seen in specialty bird-food stores and sound equally beautiful.Thanks for reading.

Transcendent sound
I purchased this a few years ago, and I’m always glad that I did. It quickly added a little pleasure and enjoyment to my life.It hangs from a beam of a covered deck, and it gives a beautiful and spiritual voice to the breezes and wind, making me feel better every time I hear it. My only wish is that I could hear it more often, and though it has increased a lot in price the last few years, I still think it’s well worth it.
