Why does it show a network connection failure?
1. The Boifun video doorbell only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and cannot connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi. Please try switching your network.
2. Weak Wi-Fi signal due to distance. Install the doorbell closer to your Wi-Fi router.
Can the doorbell camera be installed on my door?
The Boifun doorbell supports two installation methods:
1. Double-sided adhesive – Suitable for smooth, flat surfaces like doors or walls.
2. Wall-mounted with screws – Ideal for rough or uneven walls.
Note: Accessories included. Check black box.
Does the doorbell camera support wired installation?
No. The Boifun doorbell camera is wireless and battery-powered. Simply recharge the battery when it runs out of power.
How to improve the battery life performance?
1. Set the recording time to normally 20-30s which is enough for daily needs.
2. Lower down the “Motion Detection” sensitivity or open the “Human Motion Detection” function.
3. Adjust the angle of the doorbell to avoid unnecessary activation.
Does it support SD card storage?
Yes. The Boifun doorbell camera supports SD card storage (up to 128GB, SD card not included) and cloud storage.
Use the included pin to remove the doorbell via the small hole at the bottom, then insert the SD card into the slot on the right side.

This microSD card video doorbell might be the best one out there!
Awesome product and awesome price! I replaced my Ring doorbell due to concerns privacy. I wanted a video doorbell that did not require cloud storage, and this one with a 128GB microSD card (purchased separately) was the perfect choice. Set up and installation was a breeze, but I think the instructions could have been clearer or ordered differently so that the description of how to remove the mounting plate was the first thing presented. Sharing the doorbell for alerts with other family members was easy. All the have to do is install the app, create an account (don’t set up any devices), then you scan their QR code (they get it in the app) in the app and it invites them to share. Easy to add and share additional cameras, and you can choose which cameras to share to whom. Also the included chime can be paired with multiple Boifun doorbells or multiple chimes can be paired to a single or multiple doorbells. Neat feature. Motion detection works great and is fast to alert you, and I haven’t gotten any false alerts. You will get motion notification before the person rings the bell which is great. The picture quality is noticeably better than my Ring doorbell. The security voice changing feature is nice and also amusing. I can’t recommend this highly enough. I like this so much I bought the J7 doorbell with the super wide angle lens as well!

Very good doorbell camera
Overall, pretty impressive. Good quality video, good intercom. I was able to hear and speak clearly with person ringing the doorbell. battery life is great so far. Free monitoring with free cloud or SD card. Great value compared to what’s out there!

This is not the first generic camera brand I’ve had from Amazon, but it is probably one of the best. I do not plan to return, I’m satisfied compared to the previous two I had. I was looking for a doorbell camera that didn’t require any kind of subscription. This is just enough for an apartment, I can see live video or playback 10 seconds without having to purchase subscription or constantly see ads to view playback. I did get a SD card for extension, but you really don’t need it. It’s optional, but it comes with some storage. The picture quality of the camera is also great! You could adjust the volume, you could turn it off and on, the charge holds well, I highly recommend this if you don’t wanna spend a lot of money on a brand name. It’s easy to install, set up, app friendly, user friendly, and comes with a warranty. Many other features I haven’t used or don’t need, there is a manual and there is also customer service support, thankfully I haven’t needed them yet

Good product and reasonably priced with no required subscription
So far I’m please with the doorbell. Pictures are clear and motions are detected and recorded. Installation was easy to follow except for one issue. You are to use the doorbell camera to take a picture of a QR code that is supposed to be shown at the bottom of the phone page. (It’s at the top of the page). Also a confirmation noise was to be made when the QR code was successfully scanned. There was no such sound. I wish some instructions were provided on how to use the app. It’s not self explanatory and takes a lot of guess and try. I’m concerned the battery life may not be as advertised, but time will tell. I will update this review after I’ve had it for more time.

This camera is very nice and has been working very well for me. It has a doorbell but I have not used this feature. The battery lasts a long time, which was necessary because I did not have the ability to wire it in. I haven’t timed it but I think the battery lasts about a month before I have to charge it back up. It has a great picture and the app is easy to use.

An easy to install, clear door camera that works well
I finally got this to work, and it was far easier than it seemed based on the instructions, YouTube, etc.I had to take my time and review each part of the device so that I became more familiar with the parts of the camera. Turns out, I was not using the correct ‘reset’ button – once I did that – boom – found, added!!The picture quality is excellent, clear and precise. Features are great and allow for you to see who’s there.Sensitivity seems good as I hear sounds in my ear (from my Bluetooth) but no one is out there. I like that I can just open the app to see what’s in the hall to satisfy my curiosity without having to look through the peephole. I see far more through the camera than I ever did from my peephole.I couldn’t mount it to the door using screws since I live in an apt and did not want to damage the door. Instead, I used the adhesive to tape it directly to the door. I’m a bit fearful that it might fall down but I’m giving it overnight.I have Gorilla Glue tape that I may apply to the camera for a firmer hold – just in case.I don’t see any lag in what is outside from what is shown in the app.Finally, I really like that I do not need to have a subscription, but if I do, it’s only 6.99 a month.I love this camera!

Very good doorbell camera
The only problem I had with this camera was in formatting the sd card. I was not able to find a way to do it with the app. However I also have indoor cameras that use ubox app. I took a formatted SD card from one of those cameras and installed it in the doorbell camera and it worked perfectly. They both use fat32 formating. Aside from that problem I think this is a great camera with good picture and sound plus it comes with an indoor chime. Other brands offer an indoor chime separately. I also like that no subscription is required to store video if you use the sd card

Für kleines Geld bekommt man hier eine solide verarbeitete und gut durchdachte Video-Türklingel.Die Klingel lässt sich sehr einfach in der App anmelden. Die App generiert einen QR-Code auf den Bildschirm, man hält die Kamera auf den Code, gibt das WLAN-Passwort ein -und schon ist die Klingel gekoppelt.Die App ist übersichtlich gestaltet und es gibt sehr viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten.Man kann eine aktive Bewegungsüberwachung ein oder ausschalten, was sehr praktisch ist, wenn man wissen möchte, was sich vor dem Erkennungsbereich so alles bewegt.Sehr gut gefällt die Klingelfunktion. Sofern der Klingelknopf gedrückt wurde, erscheint auf dem Empfangsgerät (in diesem Falle Smartphone) ein Pop-Up Fenster wie bei einem Anruf. Man kann einfach per rotem Button ablehnen oder per grünen Button die Anfrage annehmen.Der Verbindungsaufbau geschieht äußerst fix. Bild- sowie Tonqualittät sind sehr gut sowie Störungsfrei.Die Innenklingel ist ca. 10 Meter entfernt und aktiviert sich absolut zuverlässig mit. Zudem ist diese schön laut, sodass man Sie auch bei Nebengeräuschen deutlich wahrnimmt.Desweiteren kann man für einen kleinen monatlichen Aufpreis eine KI-Funktion in der App dazubuchen, welche z.B. Haustiere und abgelegte Pakete direkt erkennen Kann. Gerade für Katzenbesitzer dürfte letzteres sehr interessant sein.Der Akku sticht bei meiner Gebrauchsweise hervor. Nach ca. einer Woche Dauerbetrieb ist die Akkuladung immernoch über 90%. Das ist bemerkenswert.Erwähnenswert ist auch noch das Einsteckgehäuse für die Klingel. Wenn die Klingel darin Eingesetzt wird, kann man Sie nicht einfach entnehmen, sondern baucht z.B. einen SIM-Karten Ausstecher, um die Klingel wieder entfernen zu können. Dies erschwert auf jeden Fall einen Diebstahl.Einziges kleines Manko ist, das die Klingel eine eingesetzte Micro-SD Karte (oder eine Bezahl-Cloud) braucht, um Videos und Fotos aufzunehmen. Wer eine Micro-SD zur Hand hat, hat das Problem schnell beseitigt. Eine Micro-SD befindet sich nicht im Lieferumfang.Insgesamt fehlt es mir bei dieser Klingel an nichts. Sie bietet sämtliche Funktionen übersichtlich, die man für den alltäglichen Gebrauch benötigt und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Daher gibt es von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung mit 5 Sternen.

Explications en français contrairement à d’autres produits tout en anglais….Excellente vision des photos prises de jour comme de nuit. Carillon d’intérieur très belle sonnerie et utile lorsque portable éteint. Enfin je recommande ce très bon produit dont le prix n’est pas excessif par rapport à d’autres de même gamme.

We read the reviews for this item and were generally impressed, especially given the price. We have had the item for over a week now and it’s been working perfectly. The camera quality is good; including at night. On the motion detector, we have reduced the sensitivity – as we live on a main road with regular footfall. But I’d rather know when someone is near/passing the front of my house than not if that makes sense so, we are not so bothered by the frequent detections. No need for a subscription. Planning to get a SD card to be able to store footage.The set up was super simple. Everything you’ll need is provided. We used the tape strips provided to attach the doorbell to the PVC frame of our front porch door. We have also tried the intercom function which worked well. Clear sound and communication. So far, the battery seems to hold a good charge. We charge the item once on arrival – it was at 60/70% charge when it arrived – so good to use immediately (if you want). I charged to 100% and, after a week or so of being is use, it’s still got around 80% charge.At this price and overall quality of the item, I am not sure what there is not to like about this item and rate it 5 stars.Thank you

Ho acquistato questo videocitofono per sostituirne uno di altra marca che mi ha sempre dato problemi… Appena arrivato ed aperto la confezione ho subito notato la differenza, sia nei materiali che appena montato nella qualità del video e delle svariate funzioni dell’app… Avevo bisogno di essere rintracciato sia quando sono nella Depandance, ma principalmente quando sono in giro per lavoro… Ottima la funzione di notifica quando rileva una persona nelle vicinanze… La confezione contiene, oltre al videocitofono ricaricabile, il ricevitore con le batterie sostituibili mini stilo, da posizionare all’interno con varie suonerie e la regolazione del volume. La configurazione con il telefono è molto semplice, seguendo le istruzioni allegate e scaricando l’app dedicata. L’app ben fatta con la possibilità di varie regolazioni sia della qualità del video e dei tempi di registrazione che delle notifiche e quant’altro… Consigliato già a parenti ed amici visto l’ottimo rapporto qualità e prezzo… Lo consiglio anche Voi !!!
