    Works great with Alexa
This was the only product that worked well with Alexa. Helped tremendously with my mother who had limited memory.

Called Flic because should be flicked into the trash!
I bought this since I have several Apple HomeKit lights that it would be nice to control with a button. Got it all setup and HomeKit and their App shows setup correctly. Tried it for the first time and worked. The next 3 tries nothing. Then it worked again on the next try. Seems it works when it wants to. Horribly unreliable with HomeKit which was the reason I bought it in the first place. Don’t waste your money.

The hub is a must with the flic buttons
The Flic Buttons work great with Apple home app but you need the hub.You can get them to work with Alexa but it’s a lot more work and took me a while to get it working.I prefer using Apple HomeKit. It doesn’t rely on the cloud like Amazon Alexa.

    Meh.
The hub requires a button to work it does not have a mobile app that allows you to control the devices that have been paired or integrated with it. Further more I purchased this to address my govee bluetooth lighting which it is not compatible with even though the hub has a bluetooth receiver built right into in it. I would have kept it with the button I had purchased had I been able to do this one seemingly simple task.

    Steer clear of this hub!
Steer clear of this item! The QR code to set it up is both too small AND is a broken code that even if magnified will not work and is obvious. (The three orientation squares are missing) Apparently they demand that you download and link a separate app of their own. That’s where I draw a line. No third party apps accountable to nothing, not even a dictator. (lots to choose from worldwide!)

Reliable, decent range, lots of integrations and advanced features
I was really surprised to see the low reviews for this hub. However, after reading through them, I realized most of the low reviews are from people who don’t seem to really understand the use case/point of this product.Flic buttons were originally made as a phone accessory to use your phone as a sort of hub and also to automate/control things on your phone. The Flic Hub was created to allow you to use your Flic buttons without needing a phone. So yes, technically the hub requires you to have Flic products. And that is the ONLY thing this hub is currently intended to connect to.I have two of these hubs and a couple dozen Flic Buttons and I’ve been using them since 2017 and I have had nearly zero issues with them. Using the Flic Buttons with the hub is an awesome experience…the battery life is insanely long, they rarely ever have problems connecting to the hub and the IR blaster feature is pretty nice, though it could use some polishing of the user interface.I’m not joking, I have some Flic Buttons around my house that have had the same battery for 4+ years. And it’s just a simple single coin cell battery. These things are awesome. If I ever had to knock off review points, it would be that there’s no direct integration with Home Assistant. Ideally, you would be able to see the buttons in Home Assistant and then build automations around them. Instead, I have to build a ton of webhook automations and build automations which respond to the webhooks instead.

    Garbanzo
When this product works, it’s fantastic. Unfortunately it consistently fails to connect to HomeKit. If it’s a light switch, it needs to work 100% of the time. And in my experience it works about 20%. This is after hours of resetting, troubleshooting, etc. Much more problem than value.

Most reliable button solution I’ve found for Homekit
With the Flic Hub LR connected to ethernet + my AppleTV Homekit hub connected to ethernet as well, the Flic buttons are very reliable and respond within around half a second or less. I use them to control my Nanoleaf lights through Homekit. I’ve only had mine for about a week, but seems good so far.
