Has Worked Perfectly!
This is a review of ARCCTV Floodlight Camera with Solar Panel, 4MP Battery Powered Security Camera. This unit installed very easily on our fence to help keep watch over our little patch of grass that some critter keeps sneaking in to poop on. Going to catch that annoying invader in the act!I have the android version of the app and it also has worked very easily for me with no extra purchase subscription needed. They do show benefits of using the premium AI version, but I haven’t needed that, and we’ve had it set up for about a week.It has an impressive battery life, although we set it up after charging indoors, but there have been quite a few days of overcast with no issues with battery seeming to drain at all. I am a bit puzzled because it seems it always says 100%, even in the morning when it has not collected energy from the sun during the night. I think it may have been influenced though by selecting the option in settings that only records “when human app…”. I am changing it to toggle that off so that I can find my nighttime offender. It notifies us of a presence anytime it senses motion in that area reliably. We go out and open up doors on our greenhouse, or close them at night, and it will let us know it has detected a human presence, versus an animal, and you can go and use the playback to watch. If you are using a live view, you can even hear sound from this, such as traffic in the area or wind noise. When you want to speak to someone in front of the camera, you can hit the blue circle with the white phone icon in the middle, and they can hear you at the camera location. The camera seems pretty good, with nice color during the day, and going to infrared night vision– black and white– at night, but there is an option to stay with the full color night vision. I do suggest for optimal satisfaction to really familiarize yourself with the app so that you can get all the functionality, and possibly share the footage and notifications with a partner. So far, we are very pleased with this camera, the app, the quality of photo and video, and appreciate that it is solar powered!

A great set of cameras for the price. Motion detection, 24/7 recording locally, and bright LEDs
I have other ARCCTV cameras and while these are not the best cameras in the world and the quality is nothing to write home about, these do work relatively well. They look nice but the materials are slightly light and cheap feeling. It has all the standard camera features you would come to expect. The 4MP isn’t great but again these are really affordable for what they are. The solar panels work really well and keep the cameras going throughout the night. So far I have not had any issues with them dying due to a lack of sunlight. The storage capacity is okay and does record 24/7 and overwrites the oldest recordings to keep things going. It has motion detection which is very sensitive and goes off pretty easily. Night mode is pretty good as well. It boasts a 2.5k resolution but I question that statement. You can use their cloud storage or use the local SD storage. The cameras support both 2.4ghz and 5ghz which is nice for a more affordable camera. Mounting an installation was really easy and their mounts give a large degree or range and customizability. Probably the coolest feature is the built in lights that use the solar panel for power. It’s fairly bright and will definitly light up a dark area. Great to draw attention to it for anyone who is trying to be “sneaky”.Overall for the price these are a great cameras but they don’t hold a candle to any of the more expensive cameras out there. All in all, if you are on a budget these are a great way to keep an eye on what it going on around the outside of your home from anywhere.

Single Camera is Great for Apartment Living
This is certainly a step up from my in-home camera that I have. I mention my in-home camera, because even though this is produced by ARCCTV, it actually works with my JAIOTlink camera so I can have both on a single app. That is mighty convenient. This is not called out in the description, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It comes with a mounting kit templates for both the camera and the solar panel, which includes drill hole template stickers you can use to make sure your holes are in the right position. Very easy to mount. As far as being an outdoor camera, it is indeed – the camera base itself has a rubber seal that should keep most moisture out – nothing is 100%, but it is better than just having a hard panel. This rubber “panel” protects your power button, reset button, USB C plug in for the solar panel (or provided USB C if you are using this for a different location and not wanting the solar panel), and SD Card Slot. There is also a USB plug/cover the power port if you like (I would surmise this is if you are charging the battery with a wall charge and then removing the power supply so that it is not continuous – maybe for aesthetics, but something I will have to investigate further – but nice to have the option). You do have to register and start an account, but you can skip the monthly/annual fee to get on their cloud program. You would simply use the SD Card option to record. The picture quality is great and the light function makes a difference so that it brightens in the day giving you a crips image or illuminating at night. I was pretty impressed with the amount of zoom you have, although it can get kind of grainy the more you zoom in, but it is nice to have the option. You are also able to connect and talk through the camera, just in case you want to question who might be at your door or warn people off.I am sure I will discover more features, but for now, happy to have acquired this and seems worth the price listed. Time of course will tell, but I can say I am pretty stoked to have this providing a bit of security and peace of mind at my apartment.
