Great Value with Great Features
I went with this smart deadbolt because the value was great for what it was offering. It has pass code, fingerprint, mechanical and app entry capabilities. I also like how for the pass code, you do not need to set a 6 digit code, 4 digit is the minimum.Installation was a lot easier than what I thought it was going to be! It was relief that everything fit nice and snug, although I did have a previous smart deadbolt lock on my door. The instructions were easy to follow and at no point did I find it confusing. It looks great and goes well with the door handle I already have on the door. It does feel sturdy and well built. I have only had it installed for three days, so time will only tell how well it’ll do. It is IP54 waterproof, which is nice living in the PNW, but my porch is covered so the elements will not be directly hitting the lock.Would have been nice if it was wifi instead of bluetooth that way I would be able to lock/unlock from anywhere, but that did not deter me from buying it. The apps that can be used are Tuya or Smart Life.Some features for the lock are: auto lock; silient mode/volume control; vacation mode; one time user code; unlock with fake code and anti-tamper alarm.Overall, a fantastic buy and I’m glad I found one that works for me.(I hope this helps anyone trying to make a decision whether that is to get it or not.)

I live out in the sticks near the top of Bald Mountain. When Covid hit, then the invasion of illegal immigrants, I felt the NEED for better security for my family. I have one door left without a fingerprinting deadbolt. This deadbolt will complete my security prep, which includes surveillance as well as better locks. A fingerprint reader gives you much faster entry should you have reason to need speed. Punching in a code can take too long in an emergency! The lock is easy to operate, and it was an easy install. It gives me exactly the funcionality I needed. For the money I think this was a great buy!

If you would like to replace a deadbolt lock with a smart lock, this is an excellent choice.We were looking for an easier solution for when we are traveling for dog sitter and neighbors managing package and mail delivery for us to get in and out of the house.As you can see from the video, this is an old door that has had many modifications an odd handle and deadbolt set up. So we went with deadbolt only option.You get a paper template to give you and idea of install options if replacing deadbolt or cutting holes in a new door for deadbolt.I did have to use a hole saw on my “replace old deadbolt” install. Fortunately, the old deadbolt was much smaller hole, so you have two size options that will work. See template options photo.What I learned during replacement, to use your hole saw (if needed) to tunnel through BOTH sides of the door to get your smooth finish.Follow instructions on set up and testing before tightening, feeding wires, and securing the outdoor and indoor portions of the lock. Make sure all your orientations are set up correctly.After installing your four batteries, now you are ready for the magic to happen.Follow the SmartLife app set up connection instructions carefully. Also save the large folded quick set up key touches and patterns for various settings you would like to set up.After you set your 9 quick set up options. You a then manage everything from the app.Lock managementPro Tip- if you want extra hard keys made (you receive 2), I would suggest going to a locksmith. The reason for this is the original key is a combination or two very well know door locks. If the hardware store or locksmith just looks at the key and says that’s a xxxxx key, you may want to tell them this is an import smart lock and not a domestic branded lock.See photo of original key (top photo) and the correct key that fit the lock perfectly. As you a see, if the person making extra keys just goes by sight, you may not get the right key made on your first trip.To unlock-Set up you and new user users with unique passcodes or assign a passcode during a time period.Finger print scanner- I would recommend setting up both thumb and index. I have found index easiest for my right side door entry. Super easy we love this.You can also lock and unlock door from app remotelyTo lock from outside press and hold any numbered button until door beeps and locks and blinks red.Lots of info here, but if you are looking for a smart deadbolt lock that offers flexibility of entry and exit for you, family, or other people whom may need access, this is an excellent choice

Save your money – Do Not Buy
I installed this door lock in June and I’m very disappointed with it. It was difficult to install and set up. The software app that was initially recommended did not connect with the lock. The company finally sent a link to the correct app and I was able connect and set up the lock. The instructions for setup were difficult to follow. After it was finally installed and set up, I found I could not unlock the door if the fingerprint reader was in strong sunlight. The punch code would work. Now, after 5 months, the lock froze up and won’t lock or unlock. I had to remove it from the door and reattach before the deadbolt would unlatch. All in all, i put this door lock in the Do Not Buy category.11-18-25 I was able to reset the lock but I am absolutely incapable of using an app to connect and manage the device. The lock will NOT connect via Bluetooth using either the SMART Home or the Tuya apps.

The doorbell was well packaged and easy to install with the enclosed directions . It does not stand out and hit you in the face it is very discreet and a classic fit at the door . Choice of chimes or ring and is above others as you do not have to change batteries every three or four months as they advised the battery lasts up to three years .. very reasonably priced and delivery was quick .So don’t hesitate it is a gem you will be happy with .
