Solid mid-range camera — better than expected for the price
Definitely an improvement over the older model. I’m not sure why there are some negative reviews — with a solid Wi-Fi connection I’ve had no issues. The image quality is clear, and for the cost this feels like a higher-level (though non-professional) camera that’s worth the money and is super simple to install. If you want a dependable, mid-range camera without paying top dollar, this one does the job nicely.

Very good so far.
These are my first Ring cameras. I purchased them to replace older different cameras that I had for a while. They were easy to install. The 2nd one was easier to install than the 1st because it automatically connected to Wi-Fi without me having to do it manually. The sound and picture are very good. I thought that the picture would be in color in the dark since it’s 2K, but they’re not. I like the privacy cover, and the neighbors feature as well. The only small issue that I have is that you have to remember to manually turn the motion detection off and on for each camera if you aren’t paying for a subscription.

Great addition to the Ring family
Great picture and video quality, and very easy to install. The motion detection is definitely what you expect from a Ring camera and the functionality is top notch. This camera also includes a privacy cover just in case if you use it as an indoor camera and want to protect private moments. Night vision looks perfect for indoors but does get a little grainy for outdoor. This is my fourth Ring Camera for my home.

Great Cam but no way to disable light.
There’s no way to disable or turn off the blue power light. They recommend putting black tape over it. 🤣😂😅 I kid you not! This is true. Google it yourself. But it works as a decent indoor camera with wide range view.

Don’t waste your money
Update: Ring customer service was great and managed to walk me through solving my issues over the phone. If you’re having any issues at all make sure to contact them. It could be a simple fix .Don’t waste your money. I thought this camera would be an improvement over the older version. Turns out it’s NOT! You can’t zoom at all because the picture is blurry, it takes forever to load the live view and when it does it’s not really a live view, more like a snapshot then you have to shut down the app and the open it to it to connect again. I’m going back to the older version

Small, discreet but clear video quality.
Small, discreet but sharp. I placed this in my living room to cover the main entrances to my home plus the interior. The quality is great, and the black version blends in well in my entertainment center. Also love the privacy cover. It doesn’t just turn the screen black, the camera physically stops recording audio and video and the ring app displays that privacy cover is closed (ie. no recordings available.)

Easy set up, great video and picture quality.
Love the newest version of the ring indoor camera. The cover to add privacy is really nice, to put the cover on was a bit worrisome as I didnt want to break it lol. I got it on and this camera works great like my other ring cameras do.

Camera seems to be a nice camera now.
UPDATE: After a few days of lost connections and a few resets the camera appears to be working great now. Ring did reach out to me to help solve my issues but I havent had time to talk with them.Initial review is this is the worst Ring Camera I’ve ever seen. Took multiple attempts to set up the camera. Live view will not load. Picture quality is not an improvement over previous version. The wifi signal is very good and I have multiple older Ring cameras in the same 10×10 room they all seem to work just fine while this camera continuously disconnects. Probably will return this camera and maybe try another one and see if it is a lemon also.
