How should I mount the camera to ensure best performance?
Mount the camera vertically upward to prevent rain or snow from entering the device. Also, install it no higher than 16 feet from the ground for optimal motion detection and to ensure the alarm system functions properly.
What WiFi network does the camera support?
The camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi during setup. Please do not use a 5GHz WiFi connection.
Which app should I use to control the camera?
The camera only works with the Home V app. Please download and use this app for setup and daily operation.
What affects the battery life of the camera?
Battery life depends on how often the camera detects motion, streams video, environmental temperature, and the strength of your internet connection.
Does the camera support local storage or cloud storage?
Yes, you can store recordings locally on a micro SD card (up to 256GB, card not included). Cloud storage is also available for an extra fee. Please note: This camera does **not** support RTSP, ONVIF, NVR, or FTP connections.

Things I wish I had known before buying 3 of them
These are some that would have saved me a lot of money and time if I knew them before buying this camera:- Virtavo devices will show up on your WIFI network under the name “Chinese Dragon Technology Limited”, which may scare and/or confuse people if they are unaware of this fact, especially because I could not find any link between the two companies online.- If the WIFI signal to the camera is weak, you may still be able to see a live video feed through the APP, but you will not receive notification’s to your phone, even if you have them set up. I have replicated this problem across two camera’s and have actually been screwed by this a few times now as my teen has snook people in through her bedroom window and I did not get notified. DO NOT make the assumption that just because you can see the live feed, the wifi signal must be good enough. Test the notifications yourself by going and standing in view of the camera.- The WIFI signal strength meter for each camera in the APP basically always says strong and is not trustworthy in any way.- If your camera has a weak WIFI signal and you aren’t getting notifications, a $10-$15 WIFI signal booster that you can plug into any outlet in your home should resolve this issue. I would have purchased one along with my camera order if I had known what I know now.- There is not a way to monitor the live feed on your PC, you can only view the live feed through your phone. I work from home in front of my PC all day, so it would be great if I could see the live feed on my computer.. and had I known that it is limited to your phone before hand, I would have chosen a different brand or different camera model.How to get the most battery efficiency with security notifications:- If you set the notification frequency to every 60 seconds, and set it to only notify when people are in the frame, it works very very well and the battery will last like 1.5-2 months on each camera.- If you set it up to notify you of every little thing, you will get a notification for every tiny flying gnat, pet, or car that passes in view of the camera and the battery will only last about a week.- The Ai detection works great

Don’t waste your money not a good investment.
Dont get it, I seen all the good reviews and a few bad ones surely its some good. Well its not, I even purchased cloud storage in hopes it would get the job done. Nope this device it is a bunch of bull crab. Shows has a good internet signal but deplays the device is offline. I have a good internet signal and I dont live in a rural area. It worked for about 5 minutes after that, its just a,waste of time and money. I spent more time trying to figure out why its not working than what it was worth. Overall its not a dependable camera, it may work it might not with that being said its not worth the money try another brand because Vertavo needs to go back to the lab and try again 😉

Battery life
I’ve had them for about a year and the 2 that I bought last year are goners they no longer work even if I charge them they just die. I had to buy and extra one like 2 months ago and it’s working fine I’ll see how long this one lasts. Don’t get me wrong they’re great cameras but I thought they would last a bit longer so I’ll be upgrading.

Diese Überwachungskamera hat mich wirklich beeindruckt. Die Einrichtung war erstaunlich einfach und unkompliziert. Innerhalb weniger Minuten war die Kamera betriebsbereit und ich konnte sie in meinem hasenstall platzieren.Die Bildqualität der Kamera ist bemerkenswert und das obwohl der Stall vom Router etwa 20 m weit weg ist. Sowohl bei Tag als auch bei Nacht liefert sie klare und gestochen scharfe Aufnahmen. Die Nachtsichtfunktion ist besonders beeindruckend ( siehe Foto das Bild entstand um Mitternacht ohne lichtquelle) und ermöglicht es, auch bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen alles deutlich zu erkennen.Die Bewegungserkennung funktioniert hervorragend. Sobald die Kamera eine Bewegung erkennt, sendet sie sofort Benachrichtigungen auf mein Smartphone. Dies gibt mir ein beruhigendes Gefühl der Sicherheit, da ich immer über das Geschehen in meinem Zuhause informiert bin, auch wenn ich nicht da bin.Die App, mit der man die Kamera steuern und die Aufnahmen ansehen kann, ist intuitiv und benutzerfreundlich. Die Möglichkeit, die Kamera aus der Ferne zu steuern und Live-Aufnahmen anzusehen, ist äußerst praktisch.Die Überwachungskamera bietet ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich fühle mich sicherer da ich die Hasen nun auch im Auge haben kann während ich nicht zu Hause bin.Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der Virtavo Überwachungskamera. Sie bietet hochwertige Funktionen zu einem erschwinglichen Preis und hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Ich kann sie jedem empfehlen, der eine zuverlässige und leistungsstarke Überwachungskamera sucht.PS. Durch die dazugehörige solarzelle hat man auch keinerlei Probleme die Kamera dauerhaft anzubringen. Ohne solarpanel hat die Kamera nur wenige Prozent verloren. Mit solarzelle ist sie eigentlich fast dauerhaft auf 100%, je nach wetterverhältnisse.

Avant d’acheter cette caméra, j’ai beaucoup lu les commentaires positifs, ce qui m’a aidée à faire confiance à cette caméra Virtavo. À mon tour, je laisse un très bon avis. Sans fil donc très pratique. Simple d’utilisation, possibilité de mettre une carte sd. Elle se recharge grâce à son câble usb sur secteur. La qualité est quand même bonne. L’application mobile est très clair. Il faut s’abonner pour plus d’options mais sans être abonné, cela suffit amplement. Vous pouvez également parler, le son de la caméra est bon. Je vous recommande cet article, pour le prix ça reste très intéressant.
