Exactly the ports I needed for my legacy setup. Possibly a more niche item, but perfect for me
I got this because of all the “legacy” features it has that I happen to need more often than I care to admit. I was in need to connect with ethernet as well as having an old monitor that uses VGA that functions as my “clutter” screen. Given that I am using this for a legacy setup, it was super nice to have 4 regular USB ports instead of having most be USB-C. Some of these are probably cons for many users, but this fit my use-case exactly.Everything was plug and play. Zero issues. It’s still going strong and I love it.

Game-Changing Workstation Hub for DeX and Beyond
Review for: USB C Hub Ethernet, 4K USB-C to HDMI Hub, 11-in-1 Multi-Port USB-C Adapter Type C Dock Dongle Compatible for MacBook Pro Laptop Air iPad Docking Station USB-C AdapterThis little adapter is awesome. I got it to build another Samsung DeX workstation, allowing me to just bring my phone and work with a full monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup—basically like a portable computer experience without having to lug around a laptop.DeX lets me remote into my Linux machine at home and work as if I’m sitting right in front of it. There are a few quirks here and there, but overall it’s a solid and productive setup. This hub connects effortlessly to a 4K monitor and provides enough USB ports for all the essentials: keyboard, mouse, webcam, and external drives. To unlock its full potential, I did need to purchase a separate USB-C charger with at least 65W output (I went with a 100W model). This allows the hub to charge my phone while powering all the connected peripherals without interruption. Once powered properly, everything works flawlessly. The hub even works great with my old MacBook and other laptops or desktops that just need a few more ports. At this price point, it’s a fantastic deal. Just be sure to factor in the cost of a high-wattage charger if you’re planning to use it with DeX or as a full workstation hub.

Hub That Does a Lot—but Not Quite All
I picked up this 11‑in‑1 USB‑C hub to finally fix the “I need more ports” issue I have with my laptop. It works—which is good—but it’s a mix of strong points and ones that show where it’s just average.First, what I love: the Ethernet port is solid, so no more laggy WiFi when I’m streaming or need a stable connection. The 4K HDMI output looks clean when hooked up to my monitor, and the extra USB‑A ports let me plug in my mouse, phone charger, and external drive without swapping things around. Everything mostly plugs in snugly, the metal parts don’t feel flimsy, and the fan‑off‑mode (no fan) options are appreciated because I hate noise when I’m working or editing.Where it doesn’t win: the charging/pass‑through power isn’t as strong as I hoped, so I can’t do high‑power charging and use all the ports at full speed without dipping performance a bit. Also, putting a lot of devices on it leads to slight heat buildup—that’s not unexpected, but worth knowing. Sometimes, with multi‑tasks (like streaming, charging a phone, transferring big files), the USB‑C data port feels slower than the rest.Value for money? I think this hub does enough to feel like a worthwhile investment. It’s not perfect, but for expanding your laptop’s connections—Ethernet, HDMI, USB‑A, SD cards—it delivers a lot. If you need full power delivery for heavy loads or very demanding tasks, you might want a higher‑end hub, but for everyday work, media, and travel, this one gives good bang.

Solid little port with good compatibility
Tested on two computers, a laptop running windows 10 and a laptop running Debian 12 Linux. On both machines, the following features worked straight out of the box:All 4 USB portsSD and Micro SDEthernet portThe windows machine recognized the HDMI and VGA display through the hub, automatically mirroring the laptop screen. The Linux machine did not recognize the HDMI or VGA display through the hub. This appears to be a driver issue. I did not look for drivers, but someone with a little more need could probably find them with a little digging.I ran a speed test through the ethernet port on the hub, and through the ethernet port on the laptop. no difference in speed, though we are only getting 50 Mbps to the modem, so this wasn’t a rigorous test of the throughput.Minor complaints: the USB-C cable that connects the hub to the laptop is very short. if you don’t have a wide surface to set the computer on, the hub tends to dangle from the port, which is not great. This would probably lead to issues with longevity as the strain on the cord would lead to breakage. You’ll definitely want a solid space for it to rest.Build quality seems to be okay, all the connections fit well and none of the ports were wobbly. Overall, it seems to be pretty good quality for the price, especially if you have a need for several different types of ports for your work or for home use. That said, I think some of these ports are a little superfluous and mostly there as feature padding. I’m not complaining about having all these extra ports, but I am questioning why I need them.

    Works great for charging
Got this nifty little gadget and it works great. No issues with connectivity when fully loaded, has plenty of ports for charging, and surprisingly charged my phone, earbuds, and power bank all to 100% without a problem. It got warm but not hot. Overall I think it’s great!
